It's not how good you are, It's how badly you want it!

Lazy puppies while I got ready for work one day this week. I wish I could stay curled up in bed with them all day sometimes. Especially this past week seeing's as it was a ruff one. They always seem to brighten my day though, I guess it's because they are so gosh darn cute. No matter how much they annoy me sometimes.
I think we've started something here, Taco Tuesday anyone?!?! These fabulous creations were made in the crock pot while I was at work and boy did they taste wonderful. We added in some Chips & Salsa and a glass of Vino and called it a meal. It was simply prefect, just what I needed after a long hard day at work.
The rest of the week was very uneventful, I was nursing a hurt leg and babysat a couple nights since the hubbs had to work late. Darn you CQ. Needless to say I didn't get any running in. It was for the best though I need to let me leg heel. I had a 10K race on Saturday (w/ Kelly) and wanted to be fully prepared for it. Even though for some reason I wasn't filling it.
Thursday afternoon I picked up our race packets for Saturday and Friday afternoon I got everything ready for the next morning. I don't like being rushed the morning of, this way it makes things so much easier.
It's all about the warm up and getting your blood flowing before a run. I can't wait for it warm up again so I can finally start wearing shorts and tanks again. Even though I loved sporting my NYC shirt. It was a nippy 39 degree's this morning. Yikes what the heck was I thinking. I still wasn't feeling this race but I put a smile on, did it and finished strong. I think it was a combination of not being able to train during the week, a ruff week at work, and my morning started off horrible before I even left my house. I signed up, I committed and I wasn't backing down.
We both had the same time in mind that we wanted to finish in. We stuck together through out the first half of the race. At the half way point we spilt up and K went ahead. I was in a funk and couldn't get my head in the game. I just wanted to get it done, so I pushed myself to keep going. I ended up finishing just after K about 9 minutes over my goal time. But that was 7 minutes faster than my first 10K (this was only my 2nd one). So as bummed and disappointed in myself as I was, I was still proud that I beat my last time. (Kelly say's I'm to hard on myself, I think I get it from my dad.)
Kelly crossed the finish line and turned back around to come meet up with me. I literally had tears in my eyes when I saw her and was trying with everything I had in me to hold it together. I remember seeing her coming up the hill to meet me, I knew the finish was right around the corner. I don't know why this race was so different for me, I think I just had so much on my mind from the past week that I couldn't get focused. Kelly said she knew it was either going to be a great run for me or a horrible one. It was definitely not one of my greater ones but it's done, I did it so that's all that matters.
The picture below is us after we finished!!!
We stayed and watched the top runners receive their awards, munched on some bagels and grabbed a banana before heading back home. I love this girl and I'm so glad to have her in my life and as my running partner. Thanks for always pushing me Kelly!!!!

It's not how good you are, It's how badly you want it!

You don't have to be fast. But you'd better be fearless.

Running into 2013

I'm jumping back on the 500 Mile train for 2013. I did pretty well in 2012 but I didn't quite reach goal. No worries there's always plenty of time this year and thankfully its starting off pretty well. I'm already about 20 miles in and its only the 21st of January. I have a race this coming up weekend (10k) and then 2 in March (a 5k &) which includes my very first Half Marathon. So there's another 22 miles right there, plus all the training I'll be doing leading up to those races. Yesterday was our long run day, we only planned on running about 6 miles and ended up finishing it off at 9.52 (yes the .02 count). It's so hard to get a long run in during the week just because it gets dark so early. I don't mind going on the weekends though, because I am fully committed, refreshed from the work week and ready to go. If you want you can read my 500 Miles in 2012 post HERE. I also have links to my first two races there and what jumped started my journey on running. Over the last year I've become more and more committed and in love with running. Its by far the best stress reliever ever and I feel so good about myself after I finish a run no matter how long or short it is. I'm by no means a great all-star runner, I don't have a super fast mile minute pace like my husband but I believe for me and myself alone I'm doing great. I've come a long way from when I first started back when we lived in Hawaii. I never in my life would have though I would enjoy it as much as I do. If you would have asked me about 2 years ago if I'd be were I am today I'd probably laugh at you. One step at a time, one run at a time & I'm getting better than the day before. I've found that having a running partner has helped tremendously, it helps keep me accountable and the other person as well. I've ran with a few different people on random occasions here in the South & I never felt that connection or drive to keep pushing myself until I started running with Kelly. It's like a whole new world opened up and I've been going strong ever since. I do have those days were I don't wanna go, I just wanna go home from work and call it a day. However I know she's waiting on me, and I don't want to let her down so I suck it up and go. Afterwards I feel so much better and I'm always so glad I went. I'm focusing 100% on my running this year and building my miles. I'm building a better lifestyle for myself, getting my body in the BEST SHAPE ever (on my 30 b4 30 list) and loosing weight in the process. I have hopes / dreams / plans......HECK I'm going to do it....of running a Marathon before I'm 30. It's also on my 30 b4 30 list. (If you haven't checked it out just go HERE) I am not going to put the pressure on myself of trying to do it in 2013, but 2014 you better believe it. Baby steps, one thing at a time. I love running with my Nike+ watch that the hubbs got me the year before last for Christmas. It helps me track my pace, miles, calories & time. I try not to look at it while I'm running but when I get home and plug it in to my computer I'm able to see how I did. I can compare my runs, see were I need to improve and what I might need to do differently next time. I recently went and was fitted for proper running shoes for my feet and two weeks later I can already tell a big difference. Even with the change in the type of socks I was wearing. You really can't skimp on running and getting your body fit. Every little detail makes the biggest difference now and in the long run. I'm still learning as I go and making adjustments as needed. Since I've started running with Kelly I've learned that I need to walk it off after I finish running. My heart rate is up so high that I can't just stop moving. I need to slowly let it drop back down to a normal pace. Before I would never do this now I know better & really it makes so much more sense. It's one of those things you don't know or think about until someone tells you and explains why. Also stretching I'm horrible about it but I've gotten better, I don't want to fall behind or slack off because of my lack to stretch my body out before and after I run. It takes 10-15 minutes & it makes the world of a difference. I've got a long way to go but at the same time I've come a long way!!! I couldn't be more happier with myself right now.
2013 = a new year and a new me!!!!
500 miles in 2013 I will make it!!!!
Check back in the months to come for a Mile count up!!!

My Week Flash Back

My week in review through Instagram, seriously I mean who doesn't LOVE Instagram.
Monday was a run day!! I have to toot my own horn I'm getting stronger and stronger on my runs. It's a wonderful feeling. It doesn't happen over night but I will get there, one run at a time.
Tuesday I met up with 3 other wives from our company for dinner at the local Pizza Joint. Its by far the hubbs and I's favorite pizza place in the area. We all try to get together at least once and month and just catch up outside of the company / BCT life on the trail. The company was great, the food was fabulous the laughs were endless and I can't wait to do it again. Before we left I called the hubbs to see if he wanted dinner, since he was staying out in the field over night for their FTX (field training exercise). With two of the other wives husbands out there we just decided to get them a whole pizza to share. 20 inches of pure yummy goodness right there. This thing is so so BIG and so so good!!!!
Tuesday night I also registered for the Color Run that is coming to the South the beginning of March. I'm super excited, it was here twice in my area last year and I was out of town both days. Not this time around. I first saw the Color Run on Pinterest a bit ago and knew it had to be on my "To Do Race List". I will definitely be doing it for fun and just to have a good time with it (not time at all), seeing's I'll be running my 1st Half Marathon a week later. I don't want to take any chances in hurting myself or causing any injuries.
Wednesday after our run I came home and hung out with the hubbs in his office / disaster of a room while he reloaded ammo. I was totally not feeling the need to cook dinner at all, I was being lazy and enjoyed just lounging around chatting with him. You ever have those days were nothing sounds good, you don't wanna cook but you don't want take out either?!?!? Yea that was this girl right here.
Isn't he just a doll face, :) I sure do think so. I love his blue eyes to!!! I lost interest in hanging out in the man-cave mess of a office when his "manpanion" called and they started talking guns. "See ya" I'm gonna go figure out dinner on that note. Love you boo!!!
Friday I came home to a box from the Mistress on my front porch. I have such fabulous friends, that know the way to my heart. Isn't she so sweet, chocolates, a wine glass, comfy socks and a cute shirt with a little bit of nail color. What more do I need for a perfect Friday night when the hubbs has CQ. Well maybe a bottle of wine to go along with it. :)
Sunday after our long run that was suppose to be 6 miles that turned into 9.5 miles I was definetly feeling a little bit of pain in my left lower leg. I treated myself to lunch and came home and took the rest of the day off. Not at all how I had intended to spend the rest of the day but thankfully I have tomorrow off as well. Thank You MLK!!! Icy Hot & Sweet Tea a cure for just about anything!!!!

Much needed R&R

While the hubbs met up with a buddy of his to go shooting and to wash the truck I enjoyed the morning relaxing. For what ever reason he though it would be a great idea to drive through a large mud puddle on his way home from work one day last week. The proceeded to complain the rest of the week because the truck was so dirty and he needed to clean it. Hello love, you did that yourself.
I decided it had been way WAY to long since I went and had a little pampering done for myself. I had every intention on going last Sunday because the hubbs was at work, sadly when I got there they were closed. I wasn't missing out this weekend, (I don't like going during the week.) it was just what I needed. It's so sad how busy life is that I forget how relaxing it is just to take a hour out of my day every now and then to do something for myself. I NEED to remember these things. Of course a little bit of sweet tea helps cure everything as well.
Back home that afternoon that hubbs and I got ready for our dinner out. Plans with his whole work company that evening oh the joys of mandatory functions. The weather outside was AMMMAZZZING!!!! 80 degrees in early January, heck ya I'll take that. So I decided to through on a tank top and rock my boots. We did a little window shopping before heading to meet everyone for dinner. That's when the fun ended, well some of the people he works with are to bad but that's really stretching it. The food and service was beyond horrible, to the point were they pretty much didn't care because they knew they were getting their tip since it was such a large party.
We made the most of the evening, and checked out early to headed home. Things like this can be so much more enjoyable if people actually put the effort in to actually making it worth wild. Vs. a last minute, "lets have a dinner this is the only place we can get into and I know its a Saturday night but you still have to come." I really am trying not to rush our time through my head that we have here at Ft. J 14 months and counting because let's face it in the end moving and starting all over again really dose SUCK but dear freaking-A this unit / company we are in is for the birds.
Tomorrow is a new day, the hubbs has off work and we are going to do a whole lot if nada. :)

Just Keep Going.....Just Keep Going.....

Friday evening closed out my running for the week. I've pushed myself hard this week and I'm proud of it. Half / Marathon training plus trying out a new work out class, double duty. There's no way I'd be remotely ready come March if it wasn't for this girl!! She keeps me going and helps me push through when I want to quit. Some how she always seem's go give me a swift kick in the butt and all of a sudden I'm full force again. Crazy how a little trash talk will do that to ya!!

The hubbs has CQ and I'm babysitting one of my favorite kiddo's tonight, so I'll be kicking my feet up once she's asleep. I'm completely taking the weekend off to fully recover and get ready for a new week ahead of me.
Before I go, I'll share with you a little bit of inspiration I've found. One of my cousins introduced me to this awesome website that has tons of motivational pictures and quotes. I try to remember them when I'm running and I feel like I'm going to die but I know I have to make it one more mile.

Have a fabulous weekend!!!!

Stay Safe......&......Keep Calm

We are running with a bit more piazzas at night now. Since it gets dark so early still we are always making sure we stand out so cars can see us when they pass by. Kelly found these awesome light up bracelets at Feet Feet this past weekend. Best part about them is they were FREE!!!! Safety first!!!! She scored 3 of them. They have 3 different settings, solid, fast pace blinking and slow pace blinking. They are super light weight and clip on easily. We called them our spider-man power bling.
She also decked out LuLu's jogger stroller with reflector tape. We took her tonight because her dad wasn't home yet. Poor girl passed out before we got half way around the block. It's hard being a wee little one, with loads of energy. :)
Remember my fabulous Raspberry Ice hot pink KitchenAid I got for Christmas?!??!! If not you can check it out HERE!!! Well I decided to dress it up a bit more, I mean because it wasn't fabulous enough already lol. I ordered this fabulous decal from Uppercase Living and I'm absolutely loving it. This was my 2nd purchase from them and I'm still pleased as ever. It came in the mail tonight and I couldn't wait to put it on. The Cupcake was suppose to go at the very top but it would have been to cramped. So I decided to put it on the side, I think it looks great there. The hubbs even suggested getting a 2nd cupcake for the other side. I love it, I still don't know how I've gone this long with out a KitchenAid. No turning back now, It's one of my favorite kitchen appliances. Heck it even looks good just simply sitting on our counter. I've lost track of how many times I've used it. (yes, I tried to keep count at first. lol)
Hope your not tired of me talking about my KitchenAid yet!!! I'm sure there will be plenty more experiences using it to come. :)

Summer in January

It's a beautiful day to be outside enjoying the warm weather. To bad I wasn't off work, only on my lunch. Hey I'll take 70 degrees any day during the winter months though. Jealous much?!?! You shouldn't be. Lol, why, because I'll just enjoy it for you. Five day forecast shows the temps in the mid 70's for the remaining week leading into the weekend. I'm sure once we start to hit triple digits again I won't be loving the warmer weather so much. For now though I'll enjoy it.

Most days I go home on my lunch to let the pups out. Today was no different, only thing was they were going for a little ride. Poor pooches had a vet check up today. While we waited out turn to be called we hung out in the back of dads (the hubbs) truck. It was to nice to be stuck in side a waiting room with a bunch of other crazy four legged furry friends. They though they ruled the way then. I just love these two, to pieces!!!
Later that evening after work I took my first Strength class at a local gym here in the South. My running partner K teaches the class and asked me to come check it out. Of course I couldn't turn her down. Let me tell you I could barley move after it. 45 minutes of weights with squats, lunges, push up & sit ups and add in 10 minutes to Tabatas at the end. I'll be lucky if I can run tomorrow let alone walk. I felt so good about myself afterwards, trying something new and pushing through. I'm looking forward to taking it again and trying out some of the other classes they have to offer at Jamie Scott Fitness.
You know just adding in some cross training with the running, got to build up my strength and tone my body.

Monday Fun Day Blues

I'm happy to say that my run went a lot better tonight. I was so motivated and pumped when I got off work. I completely erased yesterday out of my head, with a fresh start nothing was going to hold me back. I pushed though it and ran it out as hard as I could. Still it wasn't a great as previous run and I know now that its just going to take a good couple runs to get used to my new shoes. But I'm not going to let that get me down. I did once, (yesterday) and I'm not going to let it happen. I'm motivated more than ever and I have nothing to loose but everything to gain. There's no stopping me now!!!!
On another note: when I was in Texas back in October I bought my Mamaw this high speed toaster that she wanted for her birthday. In the shopping process I found this fabulous crock pot that was made by the same brand as the toaster. I just had to have it, and of course I needed it in Hot Pink!!!! My mamaw decided she would get it for us for Christmas. We quickly found out that this color wasn't sold in stores. Ok so problem solved we'll order it on was sold out and has been for the past 2 plus Months. I think it was a couple days before Christmas my Mamaw (or my mom, I don't remember who it was) called me and told me that my mom had order the crock pot. It was finally back in stock on line. YAY!!!!! The color I wanted. My beautiful Hot Pink Crock Pot arrived this evening. It's not the same color pink as my KitchenAid but that's ok it's going to look great in our kitchen when we use it anyways. I mean seriously how many people can say they have a PINK Crock Pot.
PS: is it Friday yet?!?!? I'm ready for Saturday and Sunday again......I really enjoyed my semi lazy weekend yesterday & the day before.

Breaking Them In.

Remember in my earlier post from today when I said I don't do well with change,
well here's a little story about what happen today.
K and I had plans to go run today but she decided since it was so cold, rainy and crummy out that she should keep her little one in. Makes total since, don't wanna get the baby sick. But I of course had to try out my new shoes that I'd got the day before and hit the streets running, literally. :) I was so pumped and ready to go, the cold weather didn't phase me at all. I'm actually kinda used to running in it now, although some days it still kinda sucks. I was about 2 miles in to my run and my feet were feeling it something bad. I don't know if it was really just all in my head or that fact that I took a different route today running or if it was me just getting used to new shoes, I didn't wear my running socks (socks really do make a difference). I mean it could have been a ton of different things. But my run wasn't great at all, I wanted to quit and just give in and walk the rest of the way home. Even if that did mean a LONG walk in the cold dreary ugly weather. But I DIDN'T I sucked it up and finished my run, I kept telling myself I was lapping everyone sitting at home on the couch. I blamed it all on the shoes, I was so disappointed and frustrated with myself. I had lost all hope for the day and was so down and hard on myself. How could this be, I've become such a good, faithful runner and now all of a sudden I'm stuck in a rut. How in the world was I suppose to run a half marathon in two months at this rate. I texted K and told her what was going on and how I was feeling. She reminded me that not every day is going to be a good day, that there's going to be tuff ones here and there and that's just life. Sometimes we fall and just need that little boost to get us back up. The weather was crappy, they were new shoes, the route was different, it was semi rainy / misty. I hadn't really eaten before I went, I wasn't totally awake. Not to make blame or find excuses but it had to be something right? My feet had never really hurt before when I had to break in new shoes or when I switched, so that's why I was so thrown off. Although I did go from wearing Minimalist shoes to Comfort supported shoes which was a big change and I'm sure that had something to do with it.
I did it though, I didn't give up. I kept going with my head held as high as I could. :) We have plans to run tomorrow (Monday) after work and I plan on wearing my new running shoes with the right socks. I have to give them a chance, after all they were properly fitted for my feet. The good thing about the store were I got them from is still even after a week or so of trying them and I'm still not happy with them I can take them back and get fitted for a different pair. This is just a small road bump in my day, I refuse to let it get me down. Although the rest of the day did end up being a lazy one at home not doing much. Hey it was Sunday the hubs was at work, he had CQ and I had no plans. Do you blame me ?!!?!?!

New Kicks - Experience

Yesterday was a first for me!
I don't do well with change and today that proved all to true, once again.
Yesterday Kelly & I went to Fleet Feet a local running store here in the South. It was my first time going and I have to tell you it was a great experience. From the moment we walked in the door till we were checking out and leaving. I got fitted for running shoes for the first time ever. After almost two years (it'll will be two year early March) of running and participating in countless races, this was my first time to be professionally fitted for a proper pair of running shoes. For the last year I've been running in Minimalist running shoes with no support what so ever. Although I haven't had any issues with them I knew it was time for a change. I have really bad ankles and I needed the extra support, even more so that I've started adding more and more miles on to my nightly runs. The whole process went very smoothly. I had never felt more comfortable in a shoes store then I did yesterday. The girl helping me started off by explaining the process of what they do and why and how it all works. From there she measured my feet both standing and sitting. Watched me walk around the store and run on a treadmill, gave me different socks to try on and even fully looked over my feet and explained what would be the proper shoe and why. From there I tried on about 4-5 different pairs of running shoes till we found the prefect one. The first pair I absolutely LOVED the coloring, they were hot pink, neon blue and black. They couldn't have said my name more clearly if I wanted them to. Sadly enough they weren't the proper shoe for my foot. But hey that's OK, that's what we came for right. I might have to put color and cuteness aside for a good pair of running kicks. "Might" is a strong word. Once she found what she believed to be the correct shoe for me, I ran a couple minutes on the treadmill again to make sure I was comfortable in them. I even put on one of my minimalist shoes on and one of my new one and ran on the treadmill to see how it was, I felt good in my new Asics. I also decided to go ahead and get a pair of Lock Laces and switch mine out. These aren't only great for quickly slipping on and off your shoes but it saves a lot on wear and tear of a shoe if you don't untie them when you take them off. I have always untied my shoes when I take them off because I have to retie them to put them on so I might as well untie them the first time right. With lock laces your still able to adjust the tightness of your laces and the best part is you never have to worry about the coming untied during your run.
Last Thursday when we went running I had to stop three times to tie my shoes. I seriously don't know what was going on because I normally never have issues with them. Now I really wont at all, so even better. My new asics are purple and gray, most definitely not a color I would have picked for myself (I asked if they had pink, but no such luck) but I have to say they are growing on me and I'm really liking them. I did get the Hot Pink Lock Laces to spice them up a bit and they look super cute. I might be a little biased though. I picked up a few more pairs of comfort fit running socks, I just love how soft and comfy they are. The experience as a whole was wonderful, the store even gives a 10% Military Discount....added bonus, yes in deed. And for whatever reason I'm not totally happy with my new kicks after trying them out on a few runs, I simply take them back and they will help fit me to a shoe of my liking and fitting till they find the right one that I'm comfortable running in. I will never go to a regular shoe store to get running shoes again. As long as we are in the South I will go to Fleet Feet to get fitted / purchase my running shoes and possibly other running accessories that I might need. You might pay a little extra but I'm willing to do so knowing I'm getting what is right for me, my body, the personal experience and the great customer service.

Have you ever been fit for proper pair of running shoes? What was your experience?

New Year....New Me

It's a New Year and I'm starting it off on the right foot. Literally!!!! February 2011 I got into running and have taken off with it since then. After moving to the South (fall 2011) it took me a while to get back in to a regular routine. With the move, getting settled and of course because of the climate and temperature change I kinda slacked. Once the winter months were behind us, I really didn't have any excuses. Plus the hubbs had given me a Nike GPS running Watch for Christmas that I had / wanted to put to use. I started out working my way back up to were I was before I left Hawaii and did so quite well. I've continued with it and stuck it out since then and feel so good about it. I never though I would enjoy running as much as I do, but I DO!!! It's such a great stress reliever and I feel so good about myself after I finish a run no matter how long it was. I'm determined to focus 100% on my running during the year 2013. I think believe by starting out strong and hard like I am, I will set myself up for success. Really it can only go up from here, there's not looking back or quitting, it's just not a option.
Jan. 3rd, first run of the new year!!! 3.5
I've found the best running partner here in the South. She just so happens to be one of my moms in my class. We've become really good friends over the last 4 1/2 months. We make a good team to, we encourage and push each other along. Which I believe is key to getting any were in life. Everyone NEEDS encouragement and a little extra push and shove some times. I only wish we would have met sooner, better late than never right.
Two things to do on my 30 b4 30 list are to run a half & full marathon. So during our run last night Kelly (my running partner) mentioned to me about a half marathon coming up in March to our area. We talked about doing it and debated it for about half a day and then decided to do it and commit 100%. So what does that mean you ask?!?!? Well I'll tell you......THIS GIRL signed up to run her first Half Marathon and It's only 2 "TWO" 2 months away. I've got some mega training to do but I'm super stoked and excited about it. Starting the New Year off STRONG. New Year New Me!!!!
To help us build up to it and train we also signed up for a 10K that's at the end of January. WooHoo!!!
LOOK OUT WORLD, there's nothing stopping me now!!!!
I would definitely say that running has changed my life. I'm much more confident, it also helps me tell myself that I really can do anything as long as I put my mind and heart into it. I'm more motivated than I ever have been and I love that feeling. Not just in running but life its self and taking on what ever the day my bring.
Jan. 4th second run of the new year!!! short quick 2.5 ~ intervals
I'm planning on blogging more about my running and experience with it to help keep myself accountable and motivated. Any advice, tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

In 2013 my Goals / Resolutions are simple and to the point!!!! Of Course I have smaller every day life changing plans to implement into my life but I thought I'd share these with you.
Over the next 365 days......In the year of 2013 I plan to...........
Continue to build my marriage, improve it and fall more in love with my Husband. Try not to take life so seriously and really embrace and enjoy the moment that we have together. He's my everything and I want nothing more than to live a wonderful, fabulous, blissful life together. My dream / goal for 2013 is to continue to love my husband unconditionally.
In 2013 I / We plan to continue to save and prepare for our future and whatever it may bring. Our Goal is to do better with our finances and were we spend. Enjoy life and splurge here and there and not feel guilty about it. Pay off were we owe and continue to improve our budgeting. Enjoy life, after all that's what we are busting our butts working for right.
My goal for 2013 is to also improve my body physically. Build my running by both time and distance and continue with it as I have been and even more. Live a better healthier life both on the inside and outside. Continue to get in the best shape of my life, there's no time like the present. There's no turning back. After all a Healthy Body is a Happy Body.

Do you make Resolutions or Goals for the New Year???
If so what are they???

NYE 2013 & 2012 in Review!!!!

The hubbs and I rang in the New Year together in the comfort of our little casa!! Just how we like it!! Back up a few Hours, we went over to a friends house were a couple of us from the unit gathered for some yummy food and good company. We all hung out and chatted a bit and then we all departed and went our own way around 10pm. We were the only ones out of the other 3 couples that didn't have kiddos to get to bed. We came home slipped into some comfy clothes and watched a little TV and of course my favorite part about NYE, watching the ball drop in Time Square. My most favorite place in the world. It was a simply / mellow evening but just perfect for us. Nothing to big and fancy, we were able to go to bed when we wanted and didn't have to worry about driving home or fighting the crowds. I got a fabulous Happy New Years call from my Spouse which I kindly returned the call at 5am my time, midnight her time. She rang in the New Year with us and so of course I had to do the same with her.
2012 was a wonderful year filled with many journey's and experiences that I'll never forget. I can't wait to see what is in store for us in 2013. We'd better make the most of it here in the South because it's our last full year here. It's so crazy to think that this was our last time celebrating NYE in our home here in the South.

Cheer's to a wonderful NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!
