Country Cruising Day 5- Grand Cayman Island

The plan today was to take the tender to shore and go with Steve, Chris, Randy and Joe to get lunch. We wanted a nice sit down place that had good food. Nothing fancy but nothing fattening and greasy either. After checking out a couple different menus at a few local places our last resort was Margaritaville.
The food was horrible, the service was ah…ok and the bill was insane over $300 for the 8 of us. Talk about craziness. Def. a waste of money, but we did have a good time so in the end it wasn't that bad. We had lunch and headed back to the ship, it was a short day in port and be time we actually got up and off the boat we really didn't have but about 3 hours.
That evening Love and Theft played, I'd never heard of them before and didn't know any of their songs. Well maybe two but that was it. They were ok, not great but we had a good time.
Brandy and Mark, he plays with Bryan Edwards.
Hanging out in the Atrium we ran into the Trace Adkins look alike. We figured we'd get a picture with him since the real Trace was no longer on board. I'm not getting into detail as to what happen, so if you'd like to know I'm sure you can google it. Lets just say he was off the ship by our first stop.
We had no clue in the moment that the person we'd asked to take our picture with him was Frankie Ballard (below) So of course we had to get one with him afterwards. He's got a great voice and some really good songs.
Later that night we ended up in Bliss, lounging on the bed people watching. We were all way to tired and well really just an emotional wreck that we had no energy to get up and dance.
Are they not the cutest couple ever!!! Brandy was the single one out of the group, her and Joe hit it off the first day and the rest was history as its called.
We finally called it a night and headed to the Atrium to get some food to help ease the pain and sober up a bit. Carey caught up with us as well after he got off work. He was a absolute sweet heart, I loved chatting with him about is girlfriend and their future together. He worked with the production crew, he was there with a group from his school. We knew one of his friends from last year that was there again this year. It was fun to meet them all and get to know everyone.
Our night ended shortly after eating and Sarah and I headed back to the room. I tell you that girl has pretty thick skin but when you cross her the wrong way you'd better watch out. That beautiful blonde hair can sure full you. I'm so blessed to be able to call her my best friend!!!!

Country Cruising Day 4- Ocho Rios Jamaica

After staying out way to late last night before we managed to get up have some breakfast and head off the ship to check out Jamaica. We had no plans or excursions set, we were just gonna go with it and see were we ended up.
NCL- Pearl, same ship we sailed on last year.
After being approached by several different taxi drivers we finally settled on one. Although we had no idea what we got ourselves into. We were slightly fearing for our lives at one point. We just wanted to go to a beach but some how we ended up going on a random drive around parts of the city first. Finally we made it to the beach, def. not what we had in mind at all. I forgot the sun block so the girls asked around and borrowed from another helpless soul that was stuck at the same awful beach as us. Sad that was we couldn't leave because we had to wait on our driver to come back. We ended up falling asleep on the beach for a good few ours. My back showed for it later that evening. Finally around 2:30 I think it was our driver was there and all we wanted to do was go back to the ship. He still wanted to show us around though. NOPE, no thank you. I think, NO I know, we are all just so spoiled living in Hawaii for so long that beaches any were else just don't compare.
After getting back we got ready for the evening and enjoyed a drink while we waited for our show to start. It was Neil McCoy night and we were really looking forward to it. Every night we made sure to get in line early so we could get our same seats. Tradition from last year, gotta carry it out.
Handsome Hunk of Love Lester himself jamming out on the drums.
Neil McCoy doing what he does best. Seriously one of the best performers / artist I've ever seen. He never gets old.
We had such a great time, I think by the end of the night the people around us during the show were over us but you know what who cares. We were there to have a good time just like everyone else.
The bathroom doors absolutely sucked, they were so annoying the way they opened and shut. You'd think after a couple times we'd get the hang of it but NOPE. Never happened.
Taco Night in the buffet area. Because we got in line for the show so early we didn't eat till after. Some times the late night buffet was good and other nights not so much. It was really hit or miss. Tonight was Taco night and Brownies for Sarah. How I have no clue but the people that sat behind us during the show ended up sitting across from us in the dining room. They were less than thrilled but hey they could have moved we were there first.
It was Sarah's night for the alcohol to not set so well. Poor girl was a hot mess. (I'm sure she'll kill me for these but hey it could have been worse.) She got brownies to eat and we told her to get us each one as well. However we never got them, I'm pretty sure she ate almost everyone herself.
After we ate she fading fast and just wanted Steve. AKA her brother from another mother as she called him. We went on a walk to try and find Steve, first stop Bliss. NOPE No Steve but some how Sarah and Brandy got ruffied with Tequila. How on earth that ever happened I have no clue, I would be lying if I said Nancy and I had nothing to do with it. (for the record we had them take a shot of tequila, Sarah was a bit gone and had no clue what it was but Brandy on the other hand caught on quickly only taking half the shot. Neither of them do Tequila) It was so comical, but the search for Steve was still under way. We decided to make our way to Spinnaker, another lounge area clear on the other end of the ship.
And guess what we found STEVE!!!! Sarah was so happy, brother / sister love right there.
Back up a bit, Steve is married we met him last year and he always told / tells everyone we are his girls and he takes care of us. If there was or is ever a issue or problem we knew we could go to Steve for anything. While S finished off his flask of Fire Ball Brandy and I headed out to the dance floor to do a little Wobble. Who doesn't love the Wobble. A little later Nancy came to tell us she was taking Sarah to bed. She was done for the night. Eventually Brandy and I headed to Bliss for a bit, then I went up to the Atrium with everyone for our nightly meal. Not long after we called it a night and headed back to the room.

Country Cruising Day 3- At Sea

We were surprised to see that the guys beat up back out to the pool deck. We really didn't think they would follow through but they did. Even Elliot came back out after he changed to say hello but was the smart one and went back to his room to get some rest. I'll give it to him, he did come back later that afternoon and hung out with us for a bit.
At some point in the morning Sarah's mom passed by and saw us knocked out and snapped a picture. I can imagine the comments and stories from people as they passed by. We were really out and didn't hear a thing. Mid morning Sarah woke up and decided to go back to the room because she was afraid of getting burned. Smart one I suppose. When she came back out we were telling her about the picture her mom got and she though all along she wasn't there when her mom passed by. Sorry to break it to you honey you were. It was so funny when she saw the picture.
One of many bathroom breaks with this girl!!!!
We spent the day by the pool listening to the different artist play. It was quite warm out because the ship was just sitting for the longest time. We were in and out of the pool a good bit, but it only seemed to cool us off for a quickly minute. We enjoyed some yummy drinks to keep us nice and refreshed. Eventually we decided we'd grab some lunch before heading down to get ready for the evening. The first picture is probably how we really all felt but we know how to push through and have a good time.
Craig Morgan night in the main Theater for the late show. Definitely one to remember for sure.
Shots and Wine…..well why not. This was the first one of a few that night, once you get up moving and dancing you don't even remember what all you've had. Its once you sit down for a while is when it all hits you. And it hit me and Nancy hard that night.
Moscato's the only way to go. We brought a couple bottles on with us to enjoy during the show.
Bathroom breaks in two's something about drinking that makes a girl gotta pee. I've never understood it. lol But hey sometime you make the best memories in the bathroom. One of my fav's of Nanc and I.
While Nancy and Brandy went on yet another bathroom / drink run, Craig called up two guest to the stage. Joe and I may or may not have made a scene to get Sarah up on stage. It was priceless, I know she was hating us for it while she was up there. She kept looking at us with these evil eyes telling us she was going to kill us. At one point while he was sing / talking he stopped and looked at Sarah and gave her a towel. Told her to cover up her boobs that she was distracting him. OMG, talk about the funniest moment ever. All while Nanc and Brandy are getting drinks. I was hoping they would walk in while she was up there because they'd be completely lost. But no such luck, shortly after she came down they walked in.
It was such a great show, he's a former service member himself.
Not sure how but I guess no one took any pictures after the show. Probably a good thing I suppose. We met up with some friends at the Karaoke bar and hung out there for a bit. At some point I lost the girls, not sure what happen there. I had my moment for the trip and the alcohol caught up with me. After getting sick and sobering up Steve and I went looking for the girls. Come to find out they were on the pool deck listen to one of the artist play. Thankfully by this point I was feeling fine but that's more than Nancy could say. Poor girl was DONE. She wouldn't even dance with me. Thankfully Elliot took me up on the offer while Sarah took Nancy to bed. Brandy was having the time of her life dancing with Joe, she even introduced me to a group of people by the wrong name all of which I knew. We laughed about it later and continued with our night. After a little walk around the ship, taking in the views from area's we hadn't seen Sarah and I decided to call it a night.
It was definitely a great night one I'll remember forever!!!

Country Cruising Day 2- At Sea

Our first full day at sea and we spent the entire day literally, in the hot tub other wise known at a Spa by some Californians we met. Sarah's Mom and Aunt were in there and we went in to chat with them and never left. So many people came and went, there were so many different conversation going and of course endless amounts of drinks. Brandy and I got out at one point to go to the restroom and look who we ran into. (below middle) Nancy happened to be walking up at the same time so we were able to get a quick hello in. The only one at that. Brandon (top left) and Joe stopped by to say hello on their way to play a little basket ball before they had to get ready for their evenings performance.
I really couldn't imagine going on this cruise with anyone else. We have so much fun together and I just love these girls to pieces.
There were several different artist that played through out the day while we were hanging in the "Spa". Wynnona and her husband came out and did a Q&A session. But the one that caught our eye was Bryan Edwards because of his "Aloha" shirt he was wearing. Nancy and I called him over and we chatted for a bit before we convinced him to get in the spa with us for a picture.
That evening Montgomery Gentry preformed in the main theater for our show / concert.
I knew a hand full of their songs, they defiantly made you want to get up on your feet and dance and we did just that. The two of them together were so funny but so genuine at the same time.
Later that evening we made our way to the Atrium to watch Brandon & Leah. I absolutely LOVE her voice and their songs, well there not country but who cares. She's amazing. If you've never heard of them just google or YouTube their names. They made the cutest couple ever and Joe is the perfect addition to the group.
Eventually we made our way to Bliss were we met up with everyone for the evening. We hung out, had to many drinks as we always did and did a little dancing ;) I think it was always one of those times of day we all enjoyed the most. You could really let loose and not worry about anything. We always managed to meet knew people each night to. Some stuck around and others not so much.
We made our way to the Atrium for our late night / early morning food fix and the let down was still there. It was the same as the first night Salad, Burgers, Hot Dogs, Chicken Wings and Spinach did. It was pretty horrible but we some how managed to eat it any ways.
After eating someone had the bright idea that we should stay up and watch the sunrise. I'm pretty sure it was Nancy's idea but I could be wrong. We toyed with the idea for a bit, Sarah was not so sure of it at first. We were all pretty tired but figured what the heck we were already up and the sunrise was in about a hour or so. So why not. Everyone was on board and we made our way to the back of the ship. We got absolutely no pictures of the sunrise (well minus two but nothing spectacular)
From left to right top- Joe, Brandy, Ben, Me, Nanc, Sarah and Elliot (who we met early that night).
Carey and Brian.
Sarah, Elliot and I made our way down to a lower deck for a better view. While they sipped on some coffee, I enjoy a cup of Hot Chocolate (I don't do coffee). As we watched the sunrise, it was nice to sit down and just chat away from all the craziness and nonsense.
Eventually the rest of the group caught up with us, there was talk of going back to the room and going to bed. Which seemed funny because there was people getting up and coming out for breakfast and here we were still dressed from the night before. Someone came up with the idea to go change into our swim suits and go lay out by the pool and get a few hours of sleep. This way we had good pool side seats for the day's concerts. It sounded like a crazy idea at first and again we all went back and forth with it and finally agreed we do it. Everyone split and went their separate ways with the plan to meet back up by the pool right after changing.
When we got to our room there was a little something waiting for Sarah, she loves loves the towel animals. So to say she was a little excited to see them would be a under statement.
We changed and headed back up to the pool deck were we continued our day…..

Country Cruising Day 1- Sail Away Party & Reunion

Of course it took us forever to get ready, get the hotel packed up and out the door but we managed to make it to the port with plenty of time to spare. We may or may not have been in the last group of people to check in. It worked out well though because we didn't have to wait in line at all.
We had two rooms between the 4 of us but we gave one of them to Sarah's mom and we all stayed in one together. We wanted two for the extra room and bathroom to get ready in but knew we'd stay in one. Our room attended was nice enough to convert our two twin beds in to one queen bed. We had plenty of room to cuddle up and spoon at night :)
After we dropped our stuff off we headed up to the pool deck for the sail away party. Best part of a Country music Cruise is you don't know what to expect. Neil McCoy climbing the speaker tower, Free Drinks, meeting up with friends we'd met last year and simply having the time of our life. What more could a group of girls ask for.
Goodbye Miami, Hello Caribbean!!!!

Last year we had the early show which wasn't bad but we decided we wanted the late show this year. It allowed us more time to hang out at the pool or simply do whatever and not have to rush around to get ready. Our first night was Wynonna Judd, I knew who she was and had heard a couple of her songs but not many. Let me tell you she's one sassy woman, and the story of her husbands accident just gave us chills. Before the show while we were waiting to go in Neil walked through the hall way and we were able to say hello. He's seriously the nicest most down to earth country music artist I've ever met.
After the show we grabbed some dinner and then met up with everyone for a evening out. We met Chris, Steve (from Brandon & Leah) and Nick (from production) last year on the cruise. This year B&L added Joe (crazy hair) to the band and Randy (older guy) was Steve's FIL. We sat out by the pool deck listening to Frankie Ballard play before heading into the Bliss Lounge were we ended every evening.
Shots all around!!!! I couldn't even tell you how many we took that night but it was all in good fun. Our little group continued to grow and well we couldn't leave anyone out. Buttery Nipples at your service from Nancy (below left.) We met Lester who is Kelly Clarkson's drummer, he was drumming with Neil McCoy for the Cruise and let me tell you guy's got moves and he's not bad to look at either. Super sweet down to earth with a absolute beautiful voice. (above middle, w/ us four girls)
I can't for the life of me remember how to spell the bartenders name but he was so nice. We got our first round of shots and drinks from him and the entire cruise from there on out he called us his girls and always made sure to take care of us.
Jonathan aka Pretty Teeth as we named him (below middle) was with production. He's a youngin 21 but one of the sweetest guys we met. He quickly became a great friend and we hung out with him when ever we had the chance. When you on a cruise everyone becomes like family.
Every evening, really I should say it was way early in the morning, we ended our night just like we did last year. I don't think we ever went to bed before 2 or 3am.
Although this year was a little bit of a let down. See last year we would go up to the Atrium sit down at the same table and order yummy chicken fingers, tomato soup and french fries from a menu. We had someone bring it out to us and it was fresh and hot. We talked the evening up to Brandy so much because we looked forward to it.
EPIC fail, we went up to eat only to find out it was set up as a buffet style. Your options were salad, burgers, hot dogs or chicken wing with chips and spinach dip. We were less than impressed and definitely disappointed but we needed food to absorb the ungodly amount of alcohol we'd drank so we sucked it up. Hoping the next night they'd have chicken fingers……..

Our Day in Miami

We slept in till early afternoon, that's what happens when you stay up all night. Sarah made countless calls trying to figure out the status of her luggage and got no were. Poor girl held it together much better than I would have. I finally was able to find some info on line showing that it had came in last night, ON THE SAME FLIGHT AT Brandy. Funny story, when B arrived Sarah asked her if she brought her bag with her as a joke. Little did we know she did. We finally finished getting ready and headed to the airport to get it. Which still wasn't a easy task, the Miami airport is ridiculous. No communication or organization at all. Sarah had to go into the rooms to look for her bag herself and all along it was sitting there at the American counter and they NEVER called her or the number on the tag to let her know it was there. Let's just say that won't be the last time Sarah deals with American. She was beyond frustrated as I would have been. All was well in the world though because we had her bag. S & B have a friend from High School that lives in Miami right now going to school. We met up with her last year when we came in for the cruise and were able to do the same again this year. We went to a local deli called The Daily for lunch. It was really good, I'd def. go back again. After lunch we went to see Sarah's mom and her 3 aunts who were also in Miami going on the cruise with us. They needed to go to the store for a few things and didn't have a car so we offered to take them. You know since we had a SUV now we could fit everyone. That did mean Sarah and Brandy had to ride in the very back. Thankfully they are super close and didn't mind being squeezed together.
7 people in a 5 person passenger car, we can make anything work. Besides it wasn't the first trunk Sarah has been in while we've been together and I'm sure it won't be the last.
After we dropped them back off we headed to Target for a few things then back to the hotel to wait on Nancy to get there. Her flight was delayed and delayed. How in the world I was the only one that didn't have any flight issues getting there was beyond me but I wasn't complaining at all. We picked up Nanc from the airport finally and headed to downtown Miami to meet up with J (Sarah & Brandy's HS friend). We were all in need of some yummy drinks and something to munch on after the crazy two days we'd had. We went to a place called Brother Jimmy's. It reminded me of something that should be in South Carolina. Everything about it reminded me of the South from the food to the names of the drinks. We sipped on some fruity drinks, caught up with everyone and did a bit of people watching. Lets just say the people in Miami go ALL out when it comes to going out on the town in the evenings. They dress like they are going to a fashion show, They dress like they seriously just walked out of a magazine. It was crazy, I'd never seen anything like it.
After Brother Jimmy's we tried to check out a few more places for one more drink but at that point everyone was charging a cover to get in and we weren't interested just for one drink. We said our goodbyes to J and headed back to hotel.
Sarah had a little something set up and planned for us girls when we got back. She's seriously the best and thinks of the most creative gift ideas ever!!! Personalized Cruise Cups!!!!
She also took our pictures from last years County Cruise and turned them into a DVD. So while we sipped on our Malibu and Pineapple we reminisced over last years trip and talked about how excited we were for this years cruise.
Less than 24 hours till we were on board with our boots on.
Let the good times roll and the memories continue.

Getting to Miami….Disaster!!!

I had a half day Friday at work and headed to the Charlotte, NC airport from there to meet up with the girls. Only to quickly find out that Sarah's flight was delayed causing her to miss both her connections and wouldn't make it to Charlotte in time for our 5:40 flight out. No big deal she'd make it to Miami the same time as Brandy and I just on a different flight. After I took a few things out of my suite case seeings it was over weight by 2 lbs and the stupid gate agent refused to let it slide I finally made my way to my gate. Only I would have to carry my Cowboy boots through the airport. I was excited to meet Brandy. She and Sarah have known each other since high school and she was joining us on the Cruise this year. Whelp a short phone call later from Sarah and Brandy's flight was canceled and she wouldn't be making it in to Miami till around 10pm two hours after we were getting there. Back up about a month ago, Sarah and I spent a hour on the phone booking our flight and had it all planned out that the 3 of us would meet in Charlotte as a surprise to B and fly to Miami together. Well looks like I was going to be the only one going with our original plan.
A couple hours later S and I both arrived in Miami, at complete opposite ends of the airport. We told each other we'd get out bags and meet in the middle. Mine came and I headed Sarah's way, seriously from baggage claim 1 to 24. Talk about a LONG walk. Sarah had to take 3 different airlines to get to Miami, because of delays and canceled flights her bag was no were to be found. We checked with each airline we though might be of help and got no were. Although after making her claim with American they did give her a sweet little over night kit. It was nearly 10pm at this point so there was no point in us leaving and coming back for B. We went down and waited for her at the baggage claim only to find out her flight was delayed again. Talk about a night and little did we know it was just getting started. Finally she was here, her bag made it and we clicked right away. I was semi nervous about meeting someone new. I'm the quiet shy one out of the group and well lets just say you would have though we'd known each other for years.
We had to lug our stuff for what seemed like forever all the way through the Miami airport to get to the rental car company area. We were able to check in for the car with out any issue and even got a free upgrade just by me simply asking and making conversation with the guy. Hey doesn't hurt to ask right!?!? We decided we'd head to the hotel get checked in and then figure out what we were gonna do for dinner. It was so late but we were still hungry. We'd planned to stay at the same hotel that we did last year because it was really nice, close to the airport and stores. Only Nancy gave Sarah the wrong information and it was a complete disaster.
(back up) Last year before we went on the Cruise Nanc and Sarah were at the beach and Nancy booked a hotel not reading the reviews. Afterwards Sarah read the reviews and lets just say she quickly x'ed that hotel and booked a new one.
When it came time to book the hotel for this year we asked Nanc if she remember the name of the hotel or had the information from it still. Well she did, from the original hotel she booked that was. Non of us caught it though. After all this was 15 months later. So Sarah, Brandy and I pulled up to this hotel that was right off the highway and immediately we KNEW it was NOT the hotel we stayed at last time. Just from the way we entered the parking lot. Brandy questioned us and asked if we were sure it wasn't were we stayed. Yes we were 110% positive it wasn't the hotel we stayed at last time. We pulled towards the front and feared for our life, seriously. I can't even begin to describe the type of people we saw walking in and out of the hotel. I pulled over into a parking spot so we could try and figure out what we were gonna do. After about 10 minutes of going back and forth we decided to brave it up and go in. We proceeded to check in and when he asked if we still were staying for 2 night I quickly told him NOPE, we only needed one night. We had no clue what we were gonna do for the 2nd night yet up we'd figure that out later.
Still slightly fearing for our life and trying not to touch anything we made our way up to our room. OMG, talk about a scene out of a horror movie. The room had a horrifying stench, the sheets had a yellow tent, the lamp shades were falling apart, the AC controls were broken and there was rust in the bathroom. I didn't even want to set my stuff down, let alone go to the bathroom and Brandy and I both bad to pee. YIKES!!!! This was seriously not happening. We called Nancy who wasn't flying into Miami till the next evening, to tell her what was going on and that she was never going to live it down. No joke we got some good laughs out of it but we were determined we were NOT staying here. No way I was getting in one of those beds, Hell I didn't even want to sit on it. We both started calling around trying to find another hotel for then night. We figured we cut our loses to save our selves. Brandy and I went down stairs and checked out telling the front desk guy that something had come up and we wouldn't be able to stay. We were in the room for not even 30 minutes, it was just awful.
Sarah was able to get us a new reservation for both nights at a different hotel closer to the airport. At this point we were starving and needed food then. We stopped at the first place we saw that was open at 1am in the morning. Wendy's. There's a reason my husband doesn't eat here.
After deciding what we wanted I ordered, for us only to be told they didn't have anything we wanted. So we changed our order, again to be told they didn't have anything we wanted. So I asked what do you have. "Chicken Nuggets" Ok, fine we will have 3 orders of chicken nuggets as the meals, all the same. But for the drinks I want Sweet Tea for two and Coke for anther. You do have sweet tea right, "Yes we do". So they aren't all the same if the drinks are different. Oh dear lord shoot me now seriously. I was about to go off on this guy but I kept my cool. We get to the window and he informs me that they do not have enough nuggets to make 3 full meals. AHHHHH but they had enough of the spicy ones to make up the difference. Ok fine that will work we will take it, just give us our food.  A minute or so later he comes back to the window and say's he has more bad news after he's already given me one Sweet Tea which I gave to Sarah. They were now out of sweet tea, are you FREAKING KIDDING me. How are you suppose to stay open till 2pm but you have no food or drinks to serve. "Do you have lemonade" ?? Yes we do, ok fine I'll take a Lemonade. Finally we were on our way to the hotel when Sarah took a big drink of her, what was suppose to be Sweet Tea and it was most certainly NOT. I DIED!!!!! I couldn't take it any more, the night was beyond crazy and at this point I'm pretty sure we were laughing so hard we were crying. Stuck in traffic on the highway we saw a group of girls with next to nothing on in hand-cuffs. We'd seen some pretty crazy things in Miami and we hadn't even been there for 24hrs.
We got to our new hotel checked in and went to our room. It was so nice, had a full kitchen, a living room, 2 queen beds, plenty of room for all of us to spread out and be comfy. We sat down to eat and well lets just say we completely wasted our money on crappy Wendy's food. Such a disappointment.
We laid in bed till early in the morning talking and catching up. It was definitely one of the best first nights we'd had together. One we will never forget all while there was a new person (to me) in the mix.
The first of many nights to follow!!!!!

New York City Day 6

New Year’s Day we slept in, much needed after the long day we had yesterday. We headed to brunch at one of my favorite places to eat at Sylvia’s. Its known for their fabulous Southern Soul food. You haven’t had Soul Food till you’ve had Sylvia’s. Fried Chicken, Garlic Mash Potatoes, Collard Green and SWEET Tea. Hubbs went for the breakfast but I was dying for some fried chicken. As always it didn’t disappoint.
After lunch we made our way down to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas Tree and all of the other Christmas decorations. It was absolutely beautiful, I kinda wish we would have been able to see it at night as well all lit up but still even in the day light it was pretty. We walked around for a good bit checking out some local stores including the Sony store. You can guess who picked that one. I had a name picture made for my sweet friends daughter who was house sitting for us back home. It not a trip to NY if you don’t go to the GIANT Macy’s store. 9 floor plus a basement / cellar you could get lost in there. After Macy’s we headed back to the B&B we were beat it had been a LONG day and we’d walked out feet off. We considered going for dinner before going back but I had just finished a giant pretzel and wasn’t to hungry just then so we decided we’d go back and go out for dinner a bit later.
It worked out perfect we were able to relax some. Any other time I’ve come to NYC its always been GO GO GO. This time was different and I was ok with that. We took advantage of our time and if we were tired or wanted to take a little nap we headed back and did just that. It made for a nice relaxing trip which was nice for the hubbs because he was suppose to go back to work the day after we got back.
I’m glad we decided to wait on dinner because if we hadn’t we wouldn’t of ended up at this fabulous Mexican restaurant. If you’ve been around here for a while now you know we LOVE Mexican food. The hubbs had decided he was gonna go all out since it was our last night in the city and on vacay. Heck why not I mean you only live once. So what’s a $10 bowl of Guacamole, a $8 Mojito, a $25 entree for him and a $7 dessert that was so good I though I was going to have to sleep there I was so full and didn’t want to walked back to the subway station. It was well worth the $80 bill when we got it.

After dinner we called it a night and headed back to our B&B to pack up and get ready to head out in the morning. So sad to see our trip coming to a end but excited about getting home to our puppies.
