17 days to go

I love love playing tourist :)
Its so much fun and even more when I don't have to worry about work at all. Today on the agenda was Diamond Head and Makapuu Light house, along with driving the Kbay side of the island.

We set out just alittle before 8AM to beat the morning rush or at least try to anyhow. We made pretty good timing getting to DH. There wasn't to many people yet and I was able to get parking at the top instead of having to park down below and walk up. We made it up and back down in just a hour, I'd say that was pretty good timing myself.
It was my 2ND time up and honestly I hiked up KoKo Head before I ever did Diamond Head and so once I got to the top of DH I wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Everyone makes such a big deal about it but I guess those are all the people that haven't been up KoKo Head before. I took a few picture on our hike up but seeing's it was my 2ND time I had really already seen it all and got the pictures I wanted. It was a wonderful day out and a nice work out to. I'm glad I was able to go up with my mom though, I think she had a great time.





We even got "shaved ice" once we reach the bottom to cool off with, it was so yummy. :)

We decided to for go the Makapuu Light house walk for Pearl Harbor. We did however make our way around the Kbay side to do a bit of site seeing :)




Arriving at Pearl Harbor just alittle after noon but our ticket time to see the memorial wasn't until 2:40. OMG, are you freaking kidding me that's in like almost 3 hours. We decided to leave, grab some lunch because we were both so hungry.
Once back we walked around checking out the NEW Visitor's Center. It REALLY is nice and you can tell they have put allot of hard work & money into it. It will only be better once it's all done and the construction part of it is cleaned up.
I still get chills every time I watch the video before you go across to the memorial no matter how many times I have seen it.



Dinner @ Cholo's with my sweet Friend Jess B. ended our evening. I love that place and Jess. even more for finally breaking me in and taking me. If it wasn't for her I still would have never been probably. I guess its good to come out of my shell every now and then. lol


I also got my 2 sign's in the mail today that I had ordered from Household 6 Handmade. I LOVE them so much and I think they are the cutest ever. I can't wait to order another one and even more for Gabe to get home to see them.
