Human Hamster Ball

A friend had told me about this little shindig down in Waikiki a few weeks ago & we just so happen to be down there this evening for dinner so we had to check it out.
After watching her daughters video and watching the other brave people getting in to the ball we knew it was a must. I'm always up for a adventure and so is the spouse. We tried convincing the hubbs to do it as well but he wasn't giving in.
I quickly climbed into the giant rubber ball and they zipped me up & filled it with air. What was I thinking.......as I was standing there. I'm gonna be a wee bit claustrophobic in here. Oh well no backing out now as I was being rolled over to the ramp to go into the pool of water. S joined me a bit later after she was loaded in the ball & wheeled to the pool. With 20-30 people standing around watching we made complete fools of ourselves trying to stand up and walk. Boy is it a lot harder than it looks, I kept falling over and smacking into the water. Thankfully I never got wet, the whole time though I kept thinking gosh what if it pops I'm gonna be soaked.
We were so hot and sweaty just with in the short 10 minutes we were inside the ball. I don't think we could have gone any longer than that. S & I both got up a few times and were running inside for a good few seconds. There was one time that we each got going really well there for a while & then smack right on our butts we went.
We tried talking to each other through the balls but you can't hear a thing to that just made us look even goofier. Seriously I couldn't stop laughing it was tons of fun and I'm glad we did it.
If your ever near some were that has this set up you should totally try, you will def. get a good work out from it. lol (plus every by standard needs a good laugh here and there)

Double Date

A much needed double date night out with my Mistress & her hubbs. The evening started out with dinner for Gabe & I at PF Chang's. He picked the restaurant fine by me I didn't mind. I didn't know he'd never been there before. Down in Waikiki the wait times are long on the weekends so we phoned ahead making reservations only to find out when we got there they weren't busy at all. We were quickly seated & shortly after chowing down on our dinner.
While we were at dinner Nancy & her other half were enjoying the night dancing away at their Welcome Home Ball. (yup from the deployment the guys got home from almost 2 months ago)
After they were done we met up at the Hale Koa Hotel were they were staying and from there made our way down to the Yard House. A popular restaurant & bar right in the center of the Waikiki strip. It draws loads of locals, military, & tourist from all walks of life. Never fails when ever we go there we always run in to people we know. Tonight was no different a group of guys from Gabe's company were there enjoying a few drinks..........a few might have been a understatement.

We got lucky & a couple was leaving from the bar area when we walked in so we quickly snagged their seats. We enjoyed a few drinks, great conversation and some crazy people watching before we called it a night and headed back to our car & them to their hotel. It was a simple night out, but a fun reason to get dressed up. Not to mention getting to spend the evening with a awesome couple. Going a whole year with out your other half is hard & you really rely on your friends to get you through those ruff & tuff times. I met N right at the beginning of the deployment & so our hubbies had never met. (NOTE~ this was NOT the first time they'd met they met right when they all got back from Iraq) Thankfully they hit it off right away, I knew they would seeings they are so alike.

Girls Night Out

Every now and then you just need to let loose and get out there. Therefore calling a GIRLS NIGHT OUT on the town. After a bit of chit chat and some planning we were ready to go. The three of us girls, (My Spouse, Mistress & I ) packed up a over night back, picked out a killer outfit or two and were on our way to Waikiki to spend the evening. We quickly checked into our hotel @ the Sheraton Waikiki and went up to our room to change and get ready.

We didn't have much of a game play other than to have a fabulous night that included lots of drinks. As we were walking down the strip there was several homeless people on the street, and poor Sarah just wanted to give everyone of them money it was quiet comical to say the least. (on the way back it was even funnier) We ended up making our way to the Yard House were we found ourselves sitting at the bar for the rest of the night. A few drinks in and a couple shots and the night was still young.

We chatted a bit with the people around us, just making small talk getting to know them. Next thing you know some of them are buying S & N shots, now of course they took them I mean who is gonna turn down free alcohol. A friend I had met a few months back was at the bar and came over to join us and we started chatting, its always fun to chat up.

1am rolled around and the lights started to come on meaning the bar was closing, not quiet ready to head back to the hotel S & his friend invited us to Kelley O'Neils with them. So we made our way down there with a newly made friend C and I'll have you know it was like ALL of Yard House was there because that place was packed. We saw just about everyone we had talked to at YH there.

The bar was packed, the drinks were horrible and not to mention you could smoke in there as well. Needless to say we didn't end up staying to long. Walking back to the hotel after a long night and quiet a few drinks the heels just weren't working for us any more. So off they came and oh what a relief that was, I had never been more happy to take off a pair of shoes in a long time.

Yea, sure the side walks were completely nasty but you know what that what the lovely hotel showers are for :) lol.
It didn't take long for the 3 of us to crash out in a double size bed, we had two but we managed to all squeeze in together.

10am came a bit early and let me tell you that wonderful ocean view room was pretty awesome. We had a fabulous time and it will be a night I will remember forever.

I'm not one to go out to the bar all the time at all. I don't drink allot, well mainly because I don't get that relaxed chill feeling like everyone else, no I start to feel like crap and sick so its just not that fun. However I did have a awesome time and look forward to doing in again sometime. Maybe for my big 25, but we will see who knows.
I absolutely love these girls I have met here, I don't need allot of friends because the ones I have are the best I could ask for. So why through more craziness in the mix of our already crazy circle.
