Waimea Valley Hike

Waimea Valley is a living pu'uhonua (place of peace and safety) for and by kanaka for Hawaii and the world. It is a 1,800 acre valley that offers authentic insights into Hawaiis culture past and present.

We started the day with a walk up the woven paths to the water fall. Taking in all the beautiful flowers & plants that the valley had to offer. It was so peaceful and a great way for the two of us to just talk and enjoy the morning together. We reach the waterfall after a mile & half hike and took in the view for awhile before heading back. Listening to the water rushing off the mountain and the birds chirping through the trees made for a peaceful morning.

As we were walking through there wasn't anyone hardly in sight (which made it even more enjoyable) but be time we reach the entrance the park was packed with tons of tourist.
It was a great morning just the two of us. Now to plan of next adventure hike for next weekend. :)

It's nice when you can beat the crowds...did they have the divers out when you went?
