2015 Goals

It's a New Year which means its the First Blank page of a 365 Page Book. So I'm planning on writing a good one.

I like to set Goals for the New Year (for both myself & us as a couple) over resolutions. Sure it's kinda the same thing, but a goal is something you can work towards and a resolution is something you completely change.

*Goal- the object of a person's ambition or effort; an aim or desire results
*Resolution- a firm decision to do or not to do something

So my Goal's for the New Year 2015 are......(in no particular order)

*Get Outside More: walking the pups, going to the greenway, running, simply getting out of the house, enjoying the fresh air and beautiful sunshine.

*Dressing Up More: it's so easy to just put on a t-shirt and jeans and call it a day, i'm going to work on vamping up my wardrobe and dressing up more. i wear scrubs to work so dressing up when i do is fun, i just need to do it more.

*Saving- we have done really well with saving over the last couple years and have made a point not to touch or take from our savings account. we plan to continue to do so and add to it in the coming months / year.

*Getting Fit- not simply just working out, but a combination of things, eating healthier, losing a few pounds, working out, and continuing with my running. one of my 30 b4 30 things is to get in the best shape in my life. i need to continue cracking down on this one.
:At the beginning of this deployment (#3 here, blah) I decided I was going to to completely give up Fast Food and Candy while the hubbs was away. Not that I ate much of it to begin with but I defiantly did. My only exception to this is I am allowing Jimmy Johns sandwiches. They are so fresh and yummy and not totally bad for you so I have allowed to treat myself to one every once in a blue moon. Other than that NO FF. I gave up soda completely 4 years ago today an I haven't had a sip since and it's such a wonderful feeling being able to say I don't drink it and haven't in 4 years.

*Wife / Spouse- my husband is the most important person in my life, (as to many / most people their spouse is their everything.) no different for me, i'd be lost with out that man and i want to give him the moon. he simply does anything and everything for me but we'll save all that for another post. we'll be spending a good majority of this year apart, but that doesn't make me any less of his wife. my goal is to become a even better wife, love and care for him like never before. i want us to date more, talk more, do more. the days that pass we'll never get back so i plan to take advantage of each one even more from here on out. he gives me 100% and i want to make sure i do everything in my power to give that back.

*Church- i've recently started going back to church and it's been great. apart of me hates that its taken so long, but better late than never right. its come with what i hope to be a great lasting friendship out of it. i want to truly focus on my faith and relationship with God and give me all in everything i do for him. its been missing in my life and it feels great to have that part of me back.

*Snail Mail- since being a milispouse and moving around every few years we have friends all over the states and even over seas. i plan to make it more of a habit to keep in better contact with the friendship i've built over the years. something about a letter or card coming through the mail is a bit more personal then a email or fb message.

2013 GOALS!!!!

In 2013 my Goals / Resolutions are simple and to the point!!!! Of Course I have smaller every day life changing plans to implement into my life but I thought I'd share these with you.
Over the next 365 days......In the year of 2013 I plan to...........
Continue to build my marriage, improve it and fall more in love with my Husband. Try not to take life so seriously and really embrace and enjoy the moment that we have together. He's my everything and I want nothing more than to live a wonderful, fabulous, blissful life together. My dream / goal for 2013 is to continue to love my husband unconditionally.
In 2013 I / We plan to continue to save and prepare for our future and whatever it may bring. Our Goal is to do better with our finances and were we spend. Enjoy life and splurge here and there and not feel guilty about it. Pay off were we owe and continue to improve our budgeting. Enjoy life, after all that's what we are busting our butts working for right.
My goal for 2013 is to also improve my body physically. Build my running by both time and distance and continue with it as I have been and even more. Live a better healthier life both on the inside and outside. Continue to get in the best shape of my life, there's no time like the present. There's no turning back. After all a Healthy Body is a Happy Body.

Do you make Resolutions or Goals for the New Year???
If so what are they???

New Years Resolution

Every year thousands of people make New Years Resolutions to better themselves & their lives. I myself am one of those people who makes the once a year resolution. Last year my resolution was to spend every minute I can with my husband, being in the Army makes it more difficult than a normal family. We did this very well and took advantage of each and every free moment we had to explore the island & make new memories together. The second part of my resolution for 2010 was to get our finance's ready to purchase a home of our own. Now we may not have gone through with the home purchase because I ended up staying in Hawaii during the deployment but we did however get our finance's more the way we want them and I have to say we are quiet happy with the way things turned out.

As far as my / our resolutions for 2011 I was at a loss. I had asked Gabe if he was going to make one and he said "no". He's not your typical follow the crowd, do as everyone else is doing kinda guy. When he asked if I was I had told him "I didn't really know" and then suggested we make one together. He agreed and we decided we would think what we wanted our resolution to be and get back to it. Well needless to say neither of us really came up with anything and just kind of left it to be. While I did have something rather simple in mind, I told him and he agreed it was a good idea. I chose to give up fast food till he came home for R&R. When I told my love this he said that is good its bad for you any how. I replied with "what are you a health freak now???" He said "no, its never been healthy but it's good so why not enjoy it." Like I said he is not your typical guy. lol (I / we don't eat fast food a lot at all we enjoy home cooked meals, but every now and then a drive through meal makes it's way into our home.) Why R&R you ask, well it's only a start. It gives me a semi short term goal and after R&R I can set a new end time frame such as "no fast food till He comes home from deployment." And then possibly by then it will be completely cut out of our daily lives.

There is a second part to my lovely 2011 New Years Resolution and that is to take full advantage of the beautiful sunny weekends. I have plans to spend as much time as I can on the beach, soaking up the sun and enjoying the rays trying to get through some of the books I have. I won't live in Hawaii forever so I have got to enjoy it while we are here. Even if its only for a few hours each time, I'll be there relaxing with my feet in the sand and a good book in my hand. I have found a small little spot right off the North Shore about a 10-15 minute drive from post depending on the traffic that I enjoy going to. This weekend I made my way out there twice and when I left I felt so much better with myself for getting out there and taking in the beautiful view and starting my new resolution.

Here is to a new start on a new year and many changes to come in the future!!!!!!! 2011~ may it bring you peace, love and joy and reunited with your loved ones if you are apart from them.
One other thing that I do plan on trying to implement into my daily life in 2011 is to be better at keeping in touch with my family and friends on the mainland. Something that seems so simple yet I still struggle with this. I have a few ideas in mind on how to do this so I am excited to see how things pan out. :)
