WAIMEA CANYON

Waimea Canyon is the largest canyon in the Pacific, measuring 10 miles long, 1 mile wide, and more than 3,500-feet deep. It was carved years ago by rivers & floods that flowed from Mount Waialeale's summit. It's smaller than the Grand Canyon of Arizona however it does have some beauty to it. There were ton's of look out points which we stopped at everyone of them and several hiking trails as well that me managed to go on. With a total of 4,345 acres of land and has 45 miles of trails that run though the canyon there is something for everyone to enjoy. To the top and down including some of the off roading it is a total of a 40 mile drive through the canyon, were there is only one place to stop and eat that includes a gift shop. Not a gas station in the park so be sure and fill up before hand.
