Easy & Healthy

When the hubbs deployed in November of 2014 I made a huge change in my fitness and nutrition routines. Really focusing on me and building a better life for myself, the hubbs and our future. Now more than ever I really need to stay focused on my goals and stay on track with my nutrition and workouts. Its not just about me any more but a growing babe as well. I won't even lie or sugar coat it, pregnancy absolutely terrifies me. The weight gain, the sickness, the delivery, my body changing. Did I mention the weight gain. AAAHHH!!!!! Its all so scary and over whelming, I know its one of the best times in our / my life but it still is so much to take in. I plan to stick to my workouts, running and biking as long as I can and I have the ok from my doctor. Thankfully being in a really good routine before hand helps me keep that momentum going.
I know everyones situation and experience is different and I want to make are I have as easy and smooth painless pregnancy and birth as possible. So I am going to try to do everything possible to make that happen. I know there will be those moments of absolute misery, but I can only hope they are far and few between.
Speaking of a easy pregnancy, I know that the most important part is the simple fact that babe is 100% ok and healthy. I want nothing more than to have a healthy babe. I know that as long as babe is healthy and well everything else will fall into place. However I may have my finger's crossed that babe is a girl. It's always been a dream of mine to have a little southern girl. I think we are pretty settled on just having one. (that's the plan as of now at least.) I do know that I would be just as happy and over joyed with a handsome little boy to. Girls are just so adorable and so much fun!! Right!!!!

Taking advantage of some FREE time.

Since I got out of work super early today (thank goodness) I decided to go ahead and get the commissary shopping out of the way. I've managed get our shopping down to once a month give or take a trip for veggies or dairy items here and there.  The hubby has started back with a new cycle as you know, so I try to keep healthy quick snack items on stock for him. His days are so busy and long that he doesn't often have time to stop and eat. A week or so ago he bought one of these "grabbers" as we call them at school. He absolutely loved them and hasn't put them down. Its like applesauce in a squeeze pack. He requested I buy them in bulk when I can. So that I did, taking every last one off the shelf at the commissary. I'm sure they though I was crazy. Another must have for him here lately has been Coconut water, apparently it helps keep your hydrated when out in the horrible heat. I haven't tried one myself but I'll take his word for it. Got to take care of the hubbs, he doesn't ask for much so its the least I can do. :)

Also taking advantage of having gotten off work early I went ahead and made a few freezer meals. I'm trying this out for the first time this month. As much as I love cooking sometimes on long days and late nights for the hubbs its easy just to pull something right out of the freeze that's already prepared and I just have to toss it in the crock pot or oven. And its still a homemade meal and not a store bought frozen freezer box. I'll let you know how they turn out here over the next few weeks.

Meeting my new Doc.

DAY 22

Oh Dear Doctor please don't hurt me

I absolutely hate having to go to the doctor's I don't know why but I would rather not have to deal with it at all. Unfortunately that just isn't the case there will always be times when we have to go make that lovely visit. This trip today was due to work, it was my last bit of in processing if you will that I had to do. I needed a physical done, indicating that I am healthy and fit for work. A clean bill of health you could say. I went in with no worries just a smile on my face, this would be the first time meeting my new Dr. since moving to SC. She turned out to be super nice and a great person. Although she wasn't to pleased with my eye sight, mainly in my left eye. (which I already knew I had horrible eye sight) She wants me to go get them further checked out, eeks really. oh well got to make sure I can see to drive my car lol. I was in and out with in about half a hour vs. any time I went to Tripler in Hawaii it was always a deal and I was there forever. Plus here at Moncrief I don't have to search for parking and the lay out of the building is easy to navigate around. All in all it was a good visit and I'm happy to say I left with a "Clean Bill of Health"!!!
