Out Like a Light

Today we watch little Gage while his Daddy got some work done on his tattoo.
He is the cutest lil. boy ever and is so funny. He almost makes me wanna have kiddos of my own. (like I said almost)
After a long long day for running inside and out with the dog's, two movies and so much food and not to mention the bouncing off the couches that I just cleaned...... Gage & Gabe past out like a light on the couch while I made dinner.
They are so cute. I love this pic. of them.

He is gonna be a ladies man when he gets older.

week one.....

Well, the first week at my new job went smooth.
Boy I tell you not working for almost 5 months and jumping in to a new job working 8 hours a day for 2 weeks is crazy. It makes the evenings go by super fast when I get home.
I like the Center I am working at and everyone there seems really nice and willing to help with any and everything I need. They are all so friendly. (it just reminds me that not all military wifes & locals are losers.)
The kids are great & I have already found a class that I just love to be in, however seeings that I am a FOC (flex-on-call), I will always be in a different class room. I don't mind that though it will give me a chance to learn the routine of all the classes and the different children and teachers in them.
I also really enjoy the "NOT having a set schedule" at first I was kinda bugged by the thought of it but the more I think about it and the more I have worked this past week and talked with some of the staff its really not that bad. I think I will just ride it out and see were it takes me.
I got 8 hours every day this week but today, I got 4. Fine by me, I don't mind going home early on a Friday and plus I was able to get alot done at home. So thats always good.
I am looking forward to a fun filled week next week of work. Here's to hoping I will be able to work at least 4 or 5 hours a day. However 8 hours would be fine by me as well.

One Last Time :(

We took Jamie & Anthony and their two lil. girlies to dinner tonight @ the Cheese Cake Factory for one last get together before they headed back to the grand land of Ohio. Anthony decided through the deployment, this past year that the Army was just NOT for him and his family. Meaning when the guys all returned this past February instead of looking into the future of what they next few months were going to with hold in the Army here in Hawaii, he was processing OUT.

Jared met the Stevens Family back when he first came out to the Island back in 2006 and they have been the best of friends since then. I grew very close to them as well over the last couple years. They are so sweet and have 2 cute lil. girls. Seeings that Anthony's EST date was about 2 weeks prior to the end of their oldest daughters school, they needed to find housing. Not wanting them to leave island because it would just....well suck, we offered them a place to stay here with us. They moved in around the first week or so of May and we all had a blast together. From Dinners, movies, beach visits, shopping and just hanging out.

We had a grand time, I knew that the time would come that we would have to say "Goodbyes" and I wasn't looking forward to it at all.
Tuesday night came so much sooner than I thought it would. Gabe & I found ourselves at the airport with Jamie & Anthony and with there almost 9 check in bags and 2 carry on's for each one of them. OMG, it was a site the four of us trying to get all the back, two kids a large stroller and a car seat in the airport.
I did good all the way up until they had to walk through security and then it HIT ME LIKE A TON OF BRICKS, that they were leaving and not just on a vaca. It was for good.
I HATE GOOD BYES & I cryed forever, the thought that when I go back over to their neighbor hood to visit our other friends and seeing someone else living in their house is just going to suck. Or when we want to go to the beach & they are not here to call up and go with us its going to suck.
I am looking forward to going back to the mainland again, and being able to catch up with all my friends and family there as well as take a visit to Ohio.

pUpPiEs...pUpPiEs...pUpPiEs...pUpPiEs...

They sure do LOVE their new toys my mom sent them, and they play so well together. LOL. They can't each have their own toy, they have to be playing with the same one that the other one is playing with. OMG!!!!! They are so crazy but we love them to pieces.

Date Night W/ My Love

With all the craziness that has been going on at our house over the past month, with some friends and their two kids staying with us for a few weeks. The new puppy and just Gabe having to work so much we haven't really had time to just our self's. Sure we have been home together.....cooking with the dogs under our feet. Watching our shows with little kids running back and forth in front of the TV. Some one always washing clothes in the laundry room. Needless to say its been quite busy in our house.
Gabe suggested that we go out on a DATE just the two of us, so we did just that. After putting the dogs in their kennels we were on our way. I wanted to get new shoes for work so that was our first stop and didn't take long at all. I found a super cute pair with in the first 10 minutes that fit so comfy I just had to get them.
After a bit more looking around we headed off to dinner. We were going to one of My Favorite places to eat. HARD ROCK CAFE!!!!!!
I don't know what it is about Hard Rock that I like so much, is it the food, the atmosphere, the music or what. Maybe its a little of both. I went with my mom and a friend when I was probably 13 or 14 in San Antonio and now every time I travel I always check to see if there is one near by. When I came out to Hawaii before Gabe brought me to Hard Rock and we just had the best night ever so I was looking forward to it again.

We ate so much by the end of the night I was so stuffed, I didn't think I could finish my Fajitas. But I did, I couldn't let them go to waste. We were to full for dessert at the time so we headed back to Schofield, stopping off at the 24 hour shoppette to get some Ice Cream of course.
It was a great evening just My Love & I. Spending each and every moment of my day is what I love doing best with him, we fit together like glue and have a love that is heaven sent just to the two of us. I am so lucky and blessed to have such an amazing husband like Jared. He truly dose mean every thing in the world to me and so much more.
I can't wait for Date Night again with My Boo......Monday Monday Monday......

Training Day 5

Ft. Shafter HERE WE COME!!!!!!!!!!
As if I wasn't looking forward to today's training enough, now I have to drive to Ft. Shafter 20-30 minutes away for the day. BLAH!!!
Thankfully though, Nicole & I decided to car pull down there to make the day a bit more enjoyable. I had Gabe drop me off at her house around 7:30ish since the class started at 8:00am and he didn't have to work today so it gave him something to do.
Today was all about CPR & First Aide Training. To bad I hadn't taken the classes earlier before I came out to Hawaii I would even have to go today but I didn't.
We slowly managed our way through the first half of the class (the CPR part). Practicing on adult dummies, child dummies and even infant ones. Back and forth, up and down we went over step by step. I think I could preform CPR with my eyes closed now if I needed to.
Before lunch (which was only suppose to be 30 minutes turn into 45 minutes so that was nice) we hard a written multiple choice test of 20 questions. It was like cutting a slice of pie it was so easy.
A bunch of us went over to the PX / Commissary in one that they had and got Subway for lunch (boy that place was small) and then headed back to first out the after noon part of First Aide Training.
It was all about watching a movie and then practicing on our partner different ways to bandage them up. It was fun LOL, we were kids again playing doctor. After another 20 question test. The class ended at 2:30pm just enough time for us to leave and miss traffic coming back to Wahiawa. We managed to make our way to Target for a bit of looking around and shopping before we got to my house. I love me some Target and can't pass up a chance to go.
However I was looking forward to getting home to My Love. Tonight was DATE NIGHT for us and we were going shoe shopping and then to eat at one of my favorite places. I love long weekends together they are the best.

Training Day 4

What a day, OMG....today seemed like one of the longest days of training since we started.
Thankfully, However the classes today were on Wheeler and I didn't have to travel far. We even got an hour & half lunch break which was nice. Nicole & I came back to my house and had some Pizza, YUM!! and played with the puppies for a bit.
In training today we went over the Background of The Company, The Company Policies, Employee Benefits, The Dress Code and what all the DMWR included and what was involved with working for the MWR. That was just the morning part of the class and it was a mouth full. At the beginning of the class the trainer told us we would be getting out early.....so i figured about 30 to 45 minutes early.
After lunch we ended up watching a movie about fish (don't ask me how it tied into the training but it did), and we received our fancy dancy name tags. Now I only have to go and get my new ID made and I will be set.
After a bit more nonsense, it was 2:30pm and we were all done for the day. I couldn't believe it. I just new that everyday was going to be like Monday were we where there till 4pm but thankfully not.
I quickly headed home to pick up my love from work so we could spend the evening together.
Only ONE more day to go training and boy can I not wait to get Tomorrow done & over with.

Training Day 3

Well the day didn't start out with training, but it sure ended with some.
I was up bright & early this morning to head down to Tripler Army Medical Hospital because I needed to have a physical done. I got there with plenty of time to spare (I was a bit nervous bc it was my first time there, however no problems finding my way. THANK GOODNESS FOR GPS) The Physical went great & I was out of there with in 20 minutes. So I was on track with time to make it back to training by 10:30am, I was just going to run by the house drop off my paper work so Gabe could turn it in on his way back from lunch. Then it hit me, I called to make sure the Occupational Health Office would be open around noon & sure enough not. So I quickly ran got what I needed from the house & over to the Clinic I went. As the nurse is looking through all my paper work my eye is on the clock. I have 30 minutes to get to Helemano Military Reserve, which with traffic the way it has been on post it can take that long to get there.
The nurse informs me that I need to be updated on a few shots. WHAT!!!! Are you kidding me, I hate shot's so much. Ok Ok whatever so I go over to the Family Practice building were I got my TB Test done & (from what the nurse told me they would do all the shots I needed in one. NOT,) I got 2 shots today one in each arm & have to go back in a month for another & then in 5 months for the last one. So a total of 5. OMG, they hurt so bad I got tears in my eyes and wanted to punch the guy that was doing it but I was nice & didn't.
At this point its 10 till 10:30 & there is no way I'm going to make it to training on time. So I decided to head home and wait it out. I'll return at 12:30 which is when the next class starts.
OMG, what a morning. I guess on the bright side of things at least I am making sure that I am up to date on all of my health records and I am as healthy as a horse. LOL Minus my eye sight which is not the best but not bad either, it will do.

The after noon part of the day went well. I was able to relax & have a bite to eat for lunch with my love.
At training we went over Curriculum CDC & Curriculum SAS/MST which is just basically the teaching materials they use at the different schools with the Preschool children.
Finally only two more days left and then I don't have to worry about any more in class training. (just making up the 2 classes I miss this morning)

Training Day 2

Today's training went better than expected.
The first class was over Back Injury, and was suppose to take a hour but ended early so we got a longer break. That was nice, not that you can really do anything on Helemano because the only thing they have there is a Shoppette. The second class was on Child Abuse & Neglect. It was a 2 hour long class that started at 9:15am & was suppose to go until 11:15am, then we had lunch till noon. However the class ended at 10:20am & the next one didn't start till noon. I was so happy, I came home to grab a bite to eat and relax a bit then Gabe called & asked me to come pick him up to take him to get his truck. (it was in the shop having some stuff added on) After that I headed back to class. The last part of the day was filled with one class over Administration of Medication & Communicable Diseases / Health & Sanitation. It was scheduled for 4 hours long. BLAH!!! Much to our surprise the trainer came is and said she would have us out of here at least a hour early. YEAH!!!!!
After a few slide shows and taking notes the training was done. It was 2:30pm, not a hour early but a hour & half early. I was so happy. In the back of my mind I really didn't think that we would finish even a hour ahead of schedule but we did better than that.
Out the door I went, off to Tan & then to pick up some dog food for our little pups. Gabe even got off work a bit early today which was a nice surprise. We took the pups on the usual walk around the track & then headed back home to start on dinner.
Chicken & Rice ummmm, two of my favorite food & even better when you put them together.
We ended the night with a Yellow Cake & Chocolate frosting made by My Love. It was so good. I'm looking forward to hopefully another short day of training tomorrow. Only 3 days left.

It's BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'M SO SO EXCITED THE SEASON PREMIER OF THE BACHELORETTE IS BACK ON TONIGHT. TWO FUN FILLED HOURS, AND THE BEST PART IS THAT GABE IS SITTING WITH ME WATCHING THE WHOLE THING. WHAT A TROOPER. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH.
I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE HOW THIS SEASON TURNS OUT IN THE END!!!!!!!!!!!!

Training Day 1

Today was my first day of training for my new job, I was nervous about going but once I got there and the class got started all of that went away.
It was a bunch of information that I already new and allot of common sense stuff that you needed to know to work with children.
The class only has 14 people in it but out of that only one other person is going to be working at the same center that I am.
I am so relieved that i finally am starting and going to be bringing in a paycheck now. The training is for a whole week, so Friday I will get my certificate of completion and be on my way to starting.
I love children and am excited about going back in to child care. It wasn't my top idea when I came out here but with the background that I have from working at the different schools back home I new it would be a easy catch.
I look forward to the rest of the training week and the new things that I will learn.
Hip Hip Hooray for being back in the work field!!!!!!!!!!!!

Double Date Day

Gabe & I were invited to the movies and then dinner by our friends Rae & Jason today. They wanted to go on a double date and then head back to their house for dinner. As Gabe is telling me this I'm thinking ok why not. It would be a nice & relaxing afternoon, & then it hit me. "Well what movie did they wanna see??????"
He replied with the worst movie I would have guessed, the new Star Trek Movie. AAAAAAHHHHHH, are you kidding me. I could careless about seeing that. I had no interest what so ever in seeing that movie BLAH....I never saw any of the other ones, nor do I even really know anything about the movie or background.
After much complaining I sucked it up and said ok what the heck I'll go just so the two of us could be together, beside they have yummy snacks at the theaters.
We met up at the theater just on time, to get seats on the front row (seeings the theater was packed that's all that was left) oh well though. I really didn't care because I wasn't interested in seeing it any how.
After the movie was over Gabe and I had to run down to HNL to pick up my meds. & then headed back to the Stechmans for dinner.
Spaghetti, Homemade biscuits & salad was on the menu for dinner and for dessert we had brought a Oreo pie UMMMMMM!!!!
It was so good, the Spaghetti was not your every day Spaghetti. Jason had added is own little flare to it which was delicious. It couldn't have been better. After looking through photos with Rae we had some pie and shortly after said our goodbyes. It was such a relaxing day, no rush, no dog's in our face, no children running around (they have a almost 1yr old whom is a angel), just a good time with great friends. I can't wait for July to come because we are all going to Seattle together and it is just going to be a blast.
Each and every day it just gets better and better here in Hawaii with My Love Bug, My Boo.

A Renewed Love

Today we had the Joy of being apart of Jamie & Anthony's vowel renewal ceremony. It has been 9 years since the two of them first joined hearts together as one and to end their journey here in Hawaii and everything they have been through in the Army they decided to renew their love to one another.
It was extra special for us because they asked Jared to do the ceremony. (yes, he is certified to preform them, him & a buddy of his took a online course awhile back so technically they both can marry people. crazy I know)I was a bit nervous and biting my tongue as he was coming up with what he was going to say. However he has a way with words. This is the guy that came up with his own vowels on the spot of our wedding and they were breath taking.

The event was held on the other side of the island near Kaneohe it was small only a few of their closest friends were invited and their oldest daughter held the rings on a pillow for them as Jared did the ceremony. After a few tears and some laughter of a Jewish joke that Jared played on them by having them step on a light bulb (glass)that was in a pot holder for good luck. As we all said "Mazel Tov" as they did this. It is good luck in the Jewish religion to do this after a couple is married. However none of us their are Jewish it is a on going joke that is always some how thrown into the conversation of everything. They kissed and were pronounced as Mr. & Mrs. Stevens once again. It was so sweet and I was so choked up, just watching my very own husband do such a touching thing for two of his friends.

We hung out for a bit, took a few pictures, played at the beach with the kiddos that were there and then everyone parted ways.

Gabe & I headed downtown to Waikiki to meet Jamie & Anthony with their girls for dinner. We were planning on eating at the Cheese Cake Factory (one of my all time favorite places to go), however when we got there & ran into one of the guys in Gabe's company we quickly changed our mind after he told us it was a 2 hour wait. At this point it was almost 8:00pm and that would mean we wouldn't get a table till almost 10:00pm NO WAY that wasn't going to work.
I called down the street to Tikis Bar & Grill and lucky for us there wasn't a wait at all. We had a wonderful dinner, but there was still one surprise left for Jamie that she had no idea about, but Gabe & I did. Anthony had rented a hotel room for them for the night there at Tiki's & we were going to watch their girls for them. Seeings they are staying with us right now it wouldn't be to bad at all. So once we finished dinner we headed back to their car, got the little ones car seat and walked over to our car to get their luggage. At this point Jamie is still a bit confused and dose not get what is going on. HEE HEE it was so funny.
It wasn't until later that night after we had left with the girls that she finally figured it out.
It was such a great ending to a wonderful day for the two of them. We are both blessed to have them as our friends & are going to miss them so much when they move back home next week. :(

What a Day

It started off early with Gabe @ 4:30am up and about to feed the puppies before he headed off to PT. Then back to the kennels they went and in to bed for me.
After a couple more hours of sleep the pup's were awake again, so time to get up for me. I did a bit of house work, managed to make Gabe breakfast when he came home and spent the morning with him.
Just as I was getting ready to head out the door for a bit, I got a phone call from the in-processing department for the Peterson Child Care Center were I am going to be working. Alma (the lady on the phone) was calling to see if I had finish my medical stuff and physical. Well sadly I have not, seems the Occupational clinic has been pretty busy these past couple weeks and I'm not able to get in till the 15th and then still after that I have to go to Tripler & have the physical done. BLAH!!!!! I knew that the next training @ Peterson was going to be starting on May 18th and well since that's next Monday I wasn't crossing my fingers that I would get to attend it. However after talking to Alma this morning she wants me to go ahead & attend the classes starting on the 18th. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so stinkin stoked. She said since all my paper work was complete and I just had to do those last two things it wouldn't be a problem. What a relief, this whole time I had in the back of my mind that I was not going to be able to start work till mid June some time.
As soon as I hung up the phone I called Gabe to tell him the goodness. He was so happy. This will really take the stress of a car payment off me now, knowing we will have two incomes coming in. Then remembered that Dingo had his last puppy shot scheduled for next Monday. I called the vet & they were able to get me in today.
I quickly rushed him down there, did that & back home to drop him off get a bite to eat for lunch with Gabe and then back to a different vet with Bailey for her first free puppy check up that we got when we bought her.
OMG, I really didn't have much planned today to do other than going tanning & cooking dinner tonight with My Love. Boy did that all change. I was running around all morning, but it was all worth it. As crazy as it sounds I'm excited about starting new job, 5 months now with out working that's so not me at all. It will be nice to get out of the house but I will be sad to leave the puppies in their kennels for so long. :( I just love our babies so so much they truly do complete out life.

Meet Our Bailey

What started off as a lazy relaxing day at home quickly changed. Gabe & I decided to head over to the Kaneohe side of the Island to the Windward Mall for a bit.
On the way home we stopped off at Pets Discount to pick Dingo up a few new toys & of course look at the puppies. I'm a sucker for puppies.
After gathering a few things for our pooch we were about to check out when Gabe pointed out some more puppies on the other side of the store. OMG, they were so cute. There was a boy & a girl and they were 8 weeks old but so big already. After sitting & playing with them for a few minutes I just fell in love with the girl puppy. She was so sweet and playful, really not much different than her brother. She was a bit small and her color was slightly darker as well as her fur seemed to be smoother to the touch.
We had no plans on getting another dog when we went in, we just love to look and dream about it. But that all changed. Gabe & I talked about it for a bit and the price was super great so well, we decided what the heck, Dingo could use a play mate any how and she was just really calling our names.
So we gathered a few other things including a food bowl for her. ( WHITE w/ HOT PINK SPOTS) and a collar. Then home we headed. A bit nervous on how Dingo would react with a new dog in the house, seeings she was already just a hair bigger than him.
That went well better than expected though. Dingo was so excited to see her and she didn't do to bad herself.

On the way home we were trying to think of a name & Gabe came up with Bailey after Bailey's Beer. So we went for it BAILEY is her name. I like it, it seems to fit her well.

Bailey is a 8 week old Akita / Ridge back / Terrier Mix. She will get up to around 100 lb. she has the face of the Ridge back as well as the line of hair down her back. Her color is Brindle and so pretty.
I am so excited about having another puppy in our little family. Bailey & Dingo are getting along just well having a blast playing & running through the house. I am just hope the kennel training goes better with her than it did with Dingo in the beginning.

She is so spoiled already!!!!!!!!!!

oH tHe JoY's Of LiViNg In HaWaIi

This past week has gone by super fast it seems like, but hey I'm not complaining at all. Gabe was home from work by around 2 or 3 every day but Tuesday so not to shabby at all. I was able to get allot of house work done over the last week as well. Seeings we are going to be having some friends stay with us for a couple weeks I wanted to get a head start on the cleaning and getting the house ready for more people. We managed to do a bit of shopping at Kmart as well. They had a rug there I was wanting for the other half of the living room. It fits just perfect under our new desk I got for my birthday and the colors are super awesome. I was a bit worried on how it would go with the rest of the room but its just right. Also at Kmart we were looking at the kitchen appliances and accessories, one of our must do's when we go to any store. I had been wanting a Wok forever now, but not just anyone I wanted the biggest one I could find & well just so happened that they had one that I just loved and it was a bargain that I wasn't going to pass up and the cool part was it was a Martha Stewart brand. Hee Hee. It was a must. We ended up using it that night for dinner and the next night as well. It works just perfect and the best part, clean up is a breeze. Thursday I managed to relax with Dingo for the early part of the day. Had a wonderful lunch with My Love & then back to work he went. The afternoon ending kicking back by the pool chit chatting away with Rae as we played with her 10 month old son in the pool. Friday was a early day for the guys. Thankfully just a PT test and they would be off by noon at the last est. Rae & I decided to take full advantage of the wonderful weather we have been having here & hit the beach bright and early (oh the joys of living in Hawaii), it was perfect. We went down to Kunia Resort and just hung out and enjoyed the sun and watched the waves with the lil. one. After some much needed girl time, we headed back to Schofield to part ways with our hubby's. Gabe and I ended the afternoon with lunch at Jamie & Anthony's house as we watched the movers pack up the last of their HHG's (they are leaving in 2 1/2 weeks to return home). A trip to the commissary, some spaghetti & garlic toast for dinner, and Bride Wars yet again (I talked him in to watching it, even though I had just watched it not even a week ago) was the ending to a very relaxing layed back week.
The weekends are the best, today we are going to be hanging out with little Gage for the day. He is the cutest 3 year old I have ever met. I told Gabe if we could clone him right now I would totally do it. It's gonna be a ball of fun though, filled with lots of outside time. Its so bright & sunny out and the weather feels great. I feel a super fantastic weekend coming & can't wait. I just love our life here in Hawaii together. It just keeps getting better & better.
Living Life & Loving it one day @ a time Together!!!!!

Here you go babe, let me know how they turn out. (sorry it took so long, i totally for got you asked lol)

Prep Time: 15 min
Cook Time: 15-20 min

1 3/4-pounds boneless skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces (our we just get the frozen chicken tenders and cut them to our liking)
1/4-cup vegetable oil---(just used to coat the grill, not a must)
3-tablespoons Caribbean jerk seasoning (dry) (Jess. if you can't find this seasoning in AZ let me know & I will mail you some, bc trust nothing compares this stuff is the best we use it on almost everything)
1-small pineapple, rind removed and pineapple cut into 1-inch cubes (gotta use the fresh ones NOT can, its so so much better)
1-medium red bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-medium green bell pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
1-small red onion, cut into 1-inch pieces

Step 1--Brush grill rack with vegetable oil, then heat to your likings.
Step 2--Brush chicken with 2 tablespoons of the oil followed by coating WELL with the jerk seasoning
Step 3--Thread chicken, pineapple, bell peppers and onion on skewers rotating between food item. (We use the wooden ones they work just as good as the metal skewers)
Step 4--Cover and grill kabobs over medium heat 15 to 20 minutes, turning once, until chicken is no longer pink in center.
AND THEN CHOW DOWN BABY!!!!
When we make them we almost never make anything to go with them, just because they are so good and we always make extra so we are so full just from just eating the kabobs, we don't want them to go to waste and they aren't so bueno the next day.
Girl, take a pic. and post it up when you make them and tell me how you like them.

1/2-teaspoon salt
1/4-teaspoon pepper
1/2-cup seasoned bread crumbs (we always end up having to use a bit more)
4-boneless skinless chicken breast halves / or tenders

Step 1--In a shallow bowl mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic & salt & pepper.
Place bread crumbs on a small plate.
Step 2--Dip chicken in butter mixture, then coat with bread crumbs.
Step 3--place chicken on a greased cookie sheet & drizzle w/ remaining butter mixture.
AND YOUR GOOD TO GO!!!
We bake garlic toast to go along with this dish as well, just because it's so tasty.

Hope you ENJOY it!!!!

~Sunday Blues~

Today was such a relaxing day. It seems like every weekend just about we have had something going on and are always on the go. With buying the new truck this weekend and then a dinner party that same night it was a long day. For the last two weeks we have been celebrating our birthdays (seeings they are only a week & half apart) and the weekend before that was filled with wedding events. Go Go Go, that's how its been. Today we did not a single thing but lay around and be super lazy.
We woke up around 8 or 9ish due to the dog, and hung out on the couch in our PJ's watching TV till about 2pm, we even had leftovers for lunch. Around 2:30ish i suggested we take Dingo on a walk since we didn't the day before.
Followed by a quick trip to the PX then back home to start on dinner. We had Homemade Baked Lemon Chicken w/ Broccoli & cheese & Texas Garlic Toast. Boy was I so ever stuffed after that dinner. It was so good & I can't wait to make it again.
We finished out our evening with Desperate Housewives and Brothers & Sisters with of course a bowl of Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream.
It was such a relaxing day with no worries and no plans do to anything. I love days like today with My Love Bug!!!

One Year Ago

One year ago a Prince married his Princess and I had the Joy of being apart of that day!!!!!!!!!!!

Pat & Angela have been through so much in the past 4 years and still have a crazy road ahead of them, as we all do in this journey called life. One thing that is certain, they have found love in each other. A true love that is ever lasting. Not only do they complete each other as a husband and wife, but as best friends.
Pat stepped in and took the role of a step dad, something not many men are crazy about doing, but well Pat.........he would do anything for Angela.
He up and moved from his hometown, were everything he knew was & everyone he knew lived. To come and start his life in Texas w/ Ang.
Over the past year of Marriage (& prior), I have had the Joy of being right there hand in hand in just about everything and I'm so truly blessed to have such amazing best friends in my life like the both of them to let me in to there life. They are not just friends to Gabe & I but family.
I look forward to the future between Pat & Angela and I only know that their life will be more and more blessed as the years go by. They have a special bond that is unbreakable and no matter the hurdles that they may have to go through, they will get through them together.

WISHING PAT & ANGELA A HAPPY ONE YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY AND HERE IS TO MANY MANY MORE TO COME.

It takes two special people,
To make a loving pair.
There’s a joy just being around you,
A feeling we love to share.

So best anniversary wishes to you,
Bringing years of joy and fun.
May each year keep getting better,
We hope the good times have just begun.

Here's a toast to the two of you
As you celebrate together;
You're the poster kids for happiness,
In sunny or stormy weather.

Your love continues, warm and bright;
May it shine throughout the years;
You’re an example for the rest of us,
So here’s to you: Three cheers!

Out w/ the old & In w/ the new

When Gabe was home on R&R in November of last year we went car shopping for him. He was going to need a vehicle once we both got to Hawaii. We new we were already planning on taking mine but one was just not enough. We didn't want to buy in Hawaii because it just cost way to much. It's crazy how much they raise the price on thing just cause it had to be shipped over here. But whatever, that's Hawaiians for you.

So we ended up with a Land Rover Discovery 2003 which he was just so proud of & so happy. You would of though the guy landed on the moon & touch the stars or something. It was great, I love the Land Rover. We fixed it up quite well & replaced a few missing parts. The plan was to turn it in to a super awesome off road vehicle, since that's what land rovers are made for. They are the number one off road vehicle in America, they even out preform the jeep.

On the down side to owning a LR, they can be very costly when something goes wrong & needs fixing. Parts can be expensive & often hard to find in the US.
A few weeks ago, one of the brake lights on the LR went out & we tryed everything to fix it and it just wasn't working. The dealership told us they could fix it and the part would be around $800.00 plus the labor which would be in the couple thousands of dollars. "Yeah, ummmm no thank you". We were still going to shop around to see if we could fix it on our own. Then, this past Thursday rolls around & Gabe calls to tell me the passenger front window will not roll up. OMG, are you kidding me.
One thing Gabe's loves to do is car shop, even if he knows he is not the least bit interested in buying the car he will go to a dealership test drive it. Go in and talk numbers with the sales guy & have them work their butts off to bring the price down to what he wants. Then he is off on his way w/o a new car. THANK GOODNESS.

However this trip was very different today, we got a call from the Ford Dealership down new Pearl City saying they had a truck there on the lot that Gabe had requested information about a few days ago online & wanted him to come in & take a look at it.
Ok sure we will go I told him, know we would just look & ponder of it & then be on our way.
When we got there & they pulled the truck around front I was so shocked. It was just like a truck I had a few years ago, same color, make, model & everything. There was just a few things different. We test drove it, went it & talked numbers as always & got the LR appraised to see how much they would give us for it. (2wks ago when we were at the LR dealership they offered us $6000.00 for it which is what it is worth so that was good) They came back w/ offering $3900.00. Heck freakin no are you kidding me, Jared quickly laid it all out there to the guy & explained our visit to the LR Dealership. So the sales guy left & came back offering $4500.00 for the LR, as well as they have already dropped the price of the truck we were looking at down to around $18000.00 from $26000.00 which was the sticker price. (I tell you he is good at this car haggling) That still wasn't good enough for us to jump up & down about. So once again they did there thing & now they are going to give us $5000.00 for the LR & $17000.00 for the truck out the door. The payment were in the mid $300's which was not okay by me.
Gabe & I stepped out to have a talk. (alittle heart to heart if you will say)The LR is a big deal, & we don't want to get in to deep with it & end up having to pay more to fix things on it than it is worth or even what we paid for it. (seeing's we paid cash for it, it was paid off) After alot of talking & alot of figure out payments & what not, I really started to think that this was the right way to go (Jared of course was all for it from the start, he just wasn't taking less than $6000.00 for the LR)& if we were going to do this we should do it soon while we have found something that we both really like alot.
So I told him I would only do it under once condition.....they had to get the payments under $300.00 a month & no more than 60 months. So we went back & I told the sales guys our plan & how we would take the truck & they looked at me like I was crazy & said ok let me see what I can do. Back again, they were offering $6000.00 for the LR which is what we wanted & $335.00 for a monthly payment. NOPE, thank you and good bye. I said what I wanted you can't do it sorry you don't get our business.
The manager came down & said wait, wait let me try this. So he came back offering the truck at $16000.00 & got our payments down to $303.00, ok this I can work with. Not to mention this whole time the APR on the whole deal was incredible, thanks to our awesome credit we have. We went from a sticker price of alittle over $26,000.00 to $16,000.00 a difference of $10,000.00

(Our awesome sales guy, Sean!!!)
Gabe & I talked and decided to put down a $1000.00 to bring the payment right under $300.00, I couldn't believe this. We were really going to trade in the LR get what we wanted for it & get a new truck that we both really liked.

So we did it, sign the papers and got the keys and were on our way out the door.
We are now the proud owners of a 2009 FORD RANGER 4X4, it had 27 miles on it, which we put on it test driving it. It has 4 doors & is just awesome, Gabe really really likes the small truck & it fits him to a T. We couldn't be happier with the decision we made to trade in the LR and buy the Ranger.

He is so sad to see his Land Rover go, :(

Now the goal is to have it paid off be time we leave this stink place next June, which I know we can do. I can't wait, I'm loven our new TOY we got.

Darn Thief

The freaking dog is always stealing my flip flops and today he did it again. Before I even noticed he had came and creeped in the family room and took it. I went up on the stairs were I knew he would be and sure enough there he was. It was to late this time, he had already torn the top part out of the hole. I thought about it "I'll show him" so I put the open part over his head and he hasn't figured out how to get it off, its awesome. He is going crazy running through the house & I'm loving it. hee hee.

Happy Birthday LOVE!!!

The morning started off on a good foot, and the day just keeps getting better & better. Today is my Love's birthday and well last night he & his buddy Jason had CQ at the company area, lucky for them both they have today off. HIS BIRTHDAY!!!!

Last night I totally vegged out & cleaned up the house a bit (not that its ever in a mess or dirty)& got his gifts together on the front table for when he came home.
I work up some what early this morning thanks to the dog, and was down stairs messing around on the computer when I looked at the time & thought "I should take the guys donuts since its Gabe's bday". I new just were to go get his favorite ones to. At the Shoppette, Strawberry iced. So off Dingo & I went (yes yes, i took the dog to wish Gabe a happy bday morning) to the shoppette, we grabbed a few donuts & some for Jason to and a Rock Star for my love and headed up to the company area.
He had no idea that I was coming & I hadn't talked to him yet this morning it was only 7:00am so it was gonna be a super surprise.
As we headed up stairs Dingo was greeted by a old co-worker of Gabe's, Erik a quick Hello and then off we went to the training room. There he was sitting my poor Love so so tired from being up all night, but as soon as he saw me walk in it was like he was so awake and happy and surprised to see me there. After loving on Dingo for a bit giving him his breakfast & one of his gift's (a $50.00 gift card to game stop) I headed back home, he still had another 2 hours of work & then he would be off for the next 3 days YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally my boo was home, greeted at the door by Dingo and then rushed in to see the rest of his goodies. On top of the $50.00 game stop gift card I had already given him this morning I also got him the PLAYSTATION Eye (which is a super awesome web cam. we can use on the TV, so yes it benefits me as well lol) and a new game Nightclub Los Angeles. He was so happy he has wanted the camera for awhile now & the game he enjoyed playing it at a friends house so I new it would go over well. Off to shower and bed he went to rest up for a night on the town. Poor thing was pooped after a long long day at work.

After a nice long nap, Gabe decided to get up & well if you know him at all I'm sure you know just what he did when he got up. He opened up the PS3 Eye cam. & set it all up. Its so neat, I'm just as excited about it as he is. (we have a friend who's birthday is coming up & now we know just what to get them) And of course he put in the new game to play. Boy's & their toys, he is so funny when he plays because he gets all in to it & if he dies or looses he gets so mad and starts complaining & yelling at the TV. That's when I step in & remind him that it is just a game.

Shortly after playing a bit of PS3 we got dresses and headed downtown to Waikiki to meet up with Jamie & Anthony of course. Whats a dinner with out then :), we all met up at Red Lobster. I was starving and couldn't wait to dig in to some yummy food. Thankfully there was no wait and we were able to get right in. WOW, a Friday night in HNL that's not normal.

We stuffed our faces with appetizers & their yummy biscuit's and salad, when the main course came I was starting to get full already but that wasn't gonna stop me. I ordered their Cajun Chicken Pasta....I know I know chicken at a sea food restaurant well I don't eat sea food. We had all talked about dessert before & how good they looked but once it came time to order we were all way to full to even try. However whats a birthday with out a little sweet treat. So we broke down and order 3 different desserts to share around the table. OMG, at this point I am so overly stuffed, but every thing was oh so so good. I don't like sea food but boy do I love Red Lobster. Gabe just enjoyed every bit of it and finished off one of the desserts all on his own.

We decided to head back to post and meet up with some other friends who were up at the bowling alley and play a game or two. When we got there I had no intention of playing I was just going to watch and visit that was my plan and I stuck to it. Some how someone talked my love in to playing. Once he got started you could see it he was having so much fun. It was his birthday, we were together, and hanging out with some of his close friends that he has here in Hawaii.

After a round of cosmic bowling we decided to call it a night and every one parted ways and headed home.
It truly was a magical day and I am so happy that we will be spending all of our birthdays together from here on out. I couldn't imagine it any other way.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOVE, YOU ARE MY WORLD AND I LOVE YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART,
ALWAYS AND FOREVER AND THENSOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WE COMPLETE Each other & we have found a Love that is ever lasting!!!!

MY LOVE & ME!!!
