Another CQ Sunday

I did a whole lot of nothing today, no really I did. I woke up at 6:20am to cook the hubby breakfast because he had CQ. It was a way for us to spend some time together before he left. After that I made my way back to bed on the couch until 11:30am. I seriously NEVER sleep that late, funny thing is I wasn't even that tired I was just being lazy. (no tv :( )

After I woke up I spent the entire morning cleaning the downstairs of our home. Its spic and span clean now and smells so fresh. I love that smell after having spent hours cleaning and scrubbing. The in-loves are coming to visit in two weeks. It will be a short visit but still I'm so excited any time we can get with them is always so much fun. This will be their first time visiting us since we moved to the South, so I've got to make sure everything is just perfect. Perfectionist right here people, just ask the husband. 

Our usual CQ date starts @ 8pm with the hubby's favorite Chipotles. I really think he could probably live a good couple weeks off this stuff. Me on the other hand not so much. We chatted a bit and then he  had to get back to work. Poor guy was so tired, I feel awful because he has it again on Tuesday as well.   So this is what our next week looks like Monday hubbs CQ recovery off, Tuesday Hubbs on CQ, Wednesday - Sunday HUBBY HAS OFF WORK. Can I get a HALLELUJAH!!!!! Every cycle the DS get a 4 day weekend and since he has CQ a day before his starts he in a way gets a 5 day. :) We've got some fun stuff planned for while he's off, so stay tuned.  

When I got home this evening I just happened to glance over at our cable box and guess what......my shows I have set to record are STILL RECORDING. How cool is that, guess I'll have plenty of catching up to do when we get our TV back. I honestly didn't think that was possible with no TV hooked up, but hey I'm not complaining.

Does the Bachelor & Bachelorette consume your Monday nights when its on ??? Because it does ours, yes the hubbs to. He wont admit it but its true, I always catch him watching it or asking me questions about something going on if he steps out of the room for a minute. Tonight while we watching the beginning of the season finale he asked me if I wanted to know who Ben picks. UMMMM HELLO NO, I don't want you to tell me. He said he googled it to find out who gets the last rose. Loser he can't just wait and find out like the rest of us. 

I've seriously been annoyed with Courtney from the first Episode. Just something about her really rubs me the wrong way, add in there all her cattiness through out the show and she really doesn't get my vote. I was a Kacie B. fan from the start and truth be told I was heart broken when he sent her home. Yes she was on the younger side and her parents were way over protective but she was such a southern doll. I though they hit it off well and had a great connection, much unlike him and Courtney. 

Ok now we are down to the final two Lindzi & Courtney and I'm hoping with every ounce of me that he picks L but I know he wont. Just something about the relationship between him & C, not to mention the fact that every other girl in the house has tried to break them apart. In the long run I think its only brought them closer together. 

After a wonderful visit with his mom and sister in Switzerland and two fabulous dates, Bachelor Ben says he has made up his mind.

Oh of course there you have it the final rose goes to Courtney. I saw it coming all along but really didn't want to believe it. 

In the first few minutes of "After the Finale Rose" we found out the obvious PROBLEMS, a BREAK UP, DRAMA in the PUBLIC EYE and much MORE. I want to dislike that they are together and "working it out" but at the same time TO EACH THEIR OWN. I would hate to see anyone go through the entire process of being on the Bachelor or Bachelorette and in the end walk away the same way they came on the show. Lonely and empty inside. I have to say they are a cute couple, she is a bit quirky, talking like a little girl and he is just all over the place but I guess they balance each other out.  

How many of you loved seeing Ashely & JP back on the show ??? I absolutely LOVE them as a couple, I don't think she could have picked any better. They are so cute together, totally feeding off one another. You can really see the love between then, I can't wait to see / hear about their future wedding plans to come. Oh Oh a possible baby to come :) That was totally awesome JP throwing that comment out there. 

Up next and I can't wait Bachelorette Emily Maynard. I really hope that things end better for her this time around vs. with Brad. She is such a Doll and deserves the best for her and lil Ricki.

~DAY 151~

"US" & dinner

A quick run to the commissary to get a couple last minute items for dinner turn in to a OMG moment for me. I don't normally buy magazines just because well to me you can google just about anything you can read in a magazine online and find out EVERYTHING so why buy it and waste the money. Now don't get me wrong I'm not knocking them at all, my husband buys different ones all the time and I have many friends that have monthly subscriptions to different magazines. I'm just saying it's not for me. This afternoon was different, as we are standing there in the line to check out something caught my eye. As I always do, I was looking at the magazines on the rack to see what the latest top Celeb. gossip was. When I saw the current Bachelor Jake Pavelka & 1 of 3 remaining women left Vienna Giradi on the cover of the "US Weekly". With only a few items in hand I didn't have time to flip through it there so it was a must have and quickly gave it to Gabe to add with the rest of what we had.
I am a faithful watcher of the Bachelor and can NOT stand Vienna so I was curious to see what the hype was all about.



Come to find out Miss. V. is not all she is cracked up to be. I couldn't stand her from the beginning and I think she is way to young for him. Not that age has anything to do with who you fall in love with at all. Age is just a number, its just that Jake doesn't seem to be the type of man that goes for the younger woman. But for whatever reason he is keeping her around, I just hope he doesn't end up picking her in the end. Out of the 3 remaining women I'd have to say that Gia is my #~1 pick and then Tenley. March 1st is the just around the corner so we will see when the final rose is handed out.

On the dinner menu tonight was Chicken & Dumplings made from scratch. I attempted making them a few months back and it turned into a horrible disaster. My pot was way to small and kept over flowing, I added way to much pepper & to top it off the dumplings didn't cook all the way. Needless to say it went in the trash. I redeemed myself tonight making a out standing pot of Chicken & Dumplings. I was so happy and the best part was Gabe loved them :) I love cooking there's just something about it and the best part is weather it turns out great or not so great My hubby enjoys it all. He's a trooper and doesn't hold anything back. hee hee
