I just love being around my cousins again and hanging out with them it. Being back in Texas just reminds me of how much I love them and hate missing out on seeing them grow up. I was always so excited to have family get together so we would all get to hang out and spend time with each other.
Lil. Robert has gotten so big now and dose not even look the same. He is in school and talking so much better. He knows his ABC's & he can even count to 10 in Spanish.
Shae is cheering her way along on the school cheer leading team and being her rotten self at school as always. Getting prettier and prettier as the days go by, she is growing up way to fast.
Anthony is in high school now and seems to be doing well. Still as skinny as always and even taller than me now. He is so wrapped up in his friends and being that typical teenage boy.
Big Robert is doing well also, working in the evenings and staying out of trouble when he is home (which is a good thing), he even moves out into his own little place at the end of the month.
I am not at all looking forward to going back to Hawaii and missing out more time with my family and seeing my cousins grown up into who they are. I am already looking forward to my next trip to DFW, TX to spend time with them. :)

RIP Puppy :(
Saturday night after Angela & I both got home we decided to head to "No Frills Bar & Grill" for a bite to eat.
We were on our marry way when all of a sudden Angela started screaming, I look up to see a cute little dog standing right in front of us. 11:30pm at night on a 2 lane road going one way we didn't have much time to think or move. There was a car to the left and houses to the right. Needless to say we hit the poor thing.
Angela thinks that she sees it run across the street behind us after we pass, so we turn around and go back to look & sure enough there he is standing in the middle of the street with cars whizzing by. Ok, now if you think about it we creamed the dog. We were both in SHOCK as to how he was just standing there.
We put the flashers on and I get out of the car to go see how he will react to me. And nothing he just lays down right in the middle of the street. I bring him back to the car and he hops right in. So we figure he must be ok if he jumped in.
We make our way back to the house and get him in the garage on the floor & then its all down hill from then. The poor little thing slowly started to pass away, grasping for air there was just no hope for the little guy.
Covered with a towel we wait for Pat to get home from work to help us move him.
Poor little thing, he was so cute and you could tell that he had to have been a inside dog by the way he was groomed and taken care of but he had no collar.
We are hoping that when animal control comes to pick him up he will have a micro chip & the owners will be notified.
I can't imagine if that were to be one of my babies or even Chloe. I can not wait to see my pups again. I miss them so much.

Busy Busy Busy Go Go Go
I landed in Texas at 7:35am Friday morning and it was go, go, go, from that moment. My mom, Mamaw & lil. cousin Shae picked me up. I had fresh lei's that I brought them from Hawaii and they just loved them.
We made a few stops here and there on our way to my Mamaw's house. Mom, Shae & I went to two of my favorite stores and even got Sonic first thing. I surprised my cousin little Robert at school.
That afternoon I went to see my favorite Aunt & Uncle and hung out with them all evening. Which included some shopping in Dallas & of course my uncle getting lost and frustrated as always. It was so funny, not to mention all the toll booths we had to go through.
Saturday morning I was up bright and early headed to meet my momma. We were going to Martin High School Craft Fair. YEAH!!!! I was so excited, I just love going to the craft fairs and seeing all the goodies. This year was one of the biggest shows they have had in a while. After a bit of shopping around, we made our way to Shae's game. She is a cheerleader for her school football team.
Talk about a cutie, she was just a doll out there cheering along. Man she cracks me up. I hate that I am missing out on my cousins growing up, I am so close to all of them and just in the 10~months that I have been in Hawaii they have changed so much.
Mom and I headed to another craft fair after that & then I was off to the state fair. BUT not before some major detours first. I was going to catch the train in Arlington and meet up with a few friends & well due to my lack of directions I went the wrong way & missed that train, long story short. I had Gabe giving me directions over the phone the second time on how to get to the train stop in South Irving. Finally made it there and had a 45min. wait till the next one came. About 2 hours after I started my journey to the State Fair 2 trains and I crap load of UT & OU fans I go there.
I met up with my sweet friend Kari and a few of her friends and we had a blast. We tryed so many different foods from French Fry's, Chocolate covered Strawberries, Fried Cheesecake, Funnel cake, Grilled Cheese, Hot Cocoa, Corn on the Cob and so much more. In between the food we caught a ride on the Ferris Wheel which was amazing seeing the whole view of the fair and downtown Dallas.
We ended the night at the Miranda Lambert concert which was just spectacular. She is so darn cute and has an amazing voice. Dancing the night away in the middle of thousands of people was the only way to keep warm, but we had a ball.
I am so happy to be back in Texas, I have missed it so much. Not the cold weather though, now I love love living in Hawaii even more because I don't freeze my butt off. There is still 3 weeks to go and I have so much to look forward to here, can't believe things are just starting.
And by the way Chloe is doing great, she is spoiled rotten by her mommy and daddy and they just love her to bits and pieces. She is so cute and so much smaller than I remember. I don't know if I am just use to being around my big puppies now and that's why she looks so small. But she is in good hands and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Angel & Pat for taking her in and taking such good care of her. You are the bestest friends I could ever ask for.

I'm Dreaming of a white....
CHRISTMAS!!!!
I have been thinking allot here lately as I see the Christmas decor going up in the stores on weather or not I want to decorate our house or just keep it simple. Over the last 3 years that Gabe & I have been together we have gotten around 2 or 3 Christmas ornaments each year that are meaningful to us and we have stockings as well. However that is about the extent of our supply. As we walk around the different stores seeing what they have I am not ready to have a mass amount of stuff to store in boxes only to bring out once a year. I am not one for clutter and my theory is, "If it has to stay in storage in a box or closet you don't need it." I just remember growing up we had loads and loads of decor to put out each year, which don't get me wrong I loved it. I just am not wanting it all in my house quite yet. We don't have kids, we don't have family here so really there is no one to decorate for or show our house to. We have people over allot which we enjoy but I don't even think that I really care to much about that to go all our just for one month of the year. DON'T GET ME WRONG I LOVE LOVE CHRISTMAS TIME OF THE YEAR, I just love even more my house the way that it is.
Now to my point, Gabe wouldn't mind setting up a tree and a few decorations so hints the reason for looking. I know we will get ornament's this year to represent the year and our life in Hawaii, so no question there. Now for the tree, something small and easy to put together is a must. A real tree is out of the question well because the make a huge mess and I get enough of that with the puppies. So artificial it is. When we were at Lowe's we were looking at their trees and they had tons from small to large prelit to not and even some with decorations already included on them. However the one that caught my eye was a "Palm Tree Christmas Tree" it was prelit and so unique, I just loved it. It was in this giant pot like thing and was just calling my name. It was $165.00 which to me is kinda steep for a Christmas tree seeings I didn't really care if we had one or not. Oh man I just love love this tree though. BUT Gabe is not a fan of the little light bulbs on it, he likes the big ones. So we are going to keep looking to see what we find, I am crossing my fingers that there is more tropical like Christmas trees out there.

BOO!!!!!!!!
So I was Boo~d today at work, its a Halloween thing. Some one puts together a goodie bag of treats and goodies and place's it were you will see but dose not put their name on it. Then it is your turn to Boo someone else. The idea is to Boo someone that has not been Boo~d. Then its just like a chain reaction that keeps going and going. I was so shocked that I was Boo~ed so early on in the month. I got a cute little Halloween Bear that made some funky sounds and a gift bag full of candy :)
When I got off work this afternoon Gabe & I headed to WalMart for a few things and I managed to pick up a HOT PINK pumpkin bucket and a bag of candy and card for a girl at work to Boo. (should of taken a pic. but totally didn't think about it)
That was just one of the small things that made my day so Great :)

A Fresh Start
This week is shaping up to be a pretty good one. I was not looking forward to it at all when Monday morning rolled into town. I was only scheduled for 5 hours every day this week and I was a bit bummed.
Yesterday, as I was fixing to head out the door from work @ 11:30 they asked me if I could stay. Of course, I am trying to get all the hours I can before I leave for Texas. So 2:45pm it was. Then it turned into 3:00pm and then FINALLY I was out the door @ 3:30pm thanks to a teacher coming back from her lunch late. But fine by me because I got 8 1/2 hours. Earlier in the day I was asked to open the next morning (Tuesday) and I said of course. Not only would I be getting 8 hours but I would be off work by 2:45pm which is nice. Monday ended & I was off to the vet to get the pups. heart worm meds. & then down to tan. Right as I got to Kunia Gabe called and was off work with some wonderful news......he dose not have to go to PTA!!! YEAH!!!!
We planned my trip to Texas around when he had PTA so we would be together for our 2ND year Wedding Anniversary hoping that everything would work out. There for a moment we weren't to sure but luckily he was already on the books to go to some schooling during that time, that turned out couldn't be changed or canceled. WOOHOO!!!
Now he may end up having to go to the Big Island (that's were PTA is held) around the 18Th to help a bit but it would only be for 2 days, which is totally fine by me because by that point it would be past our Anniversary & I would have already been home.
We ended the evening with a fairly simple dinner but good and a bit of TV, nothing to exciting on Monday nights.
The morning rolled around way to soon, it could of stayed away for just awhile longer. Never the less I was up and out the door the same time as my love headed to work. Everything went smooth, even with us being short one staff member, and that is so not normal in our class. Come to find out Mrs. Karen our lead teacher is sick (reason I opened the class this morning) & she can not return to work till after her follow up appointment on Saturday. Meaning I am opening for the rest of the week, which means 8 hours a day. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! (we hope she gets better soon, this has been going on with her for a couple months now) It may sound crazy that I'm excited about going in so early and trust me it sucks, & working the 8hrs may sound long but right now with the way they are cutting hours at work I am trying to push to get whatever I can.
The afternoon ended well, and I was out the door by 3:00pm a bit after my time, but its ok.
I am looking forward to the rest of the week and hoping that everything stays on a positive note, and even more so the long weekend ahead of us. Gabe gets a 4 day and I get a 3 day so that's nice. Lots to do this week & weekend to prep for my trip back to Texas.

gotta be grateful
If you were to look up the definition to STRESS in the dictionary I am sure my picture would be next to it. This week has just been one of those weeks. Its been up and down, good and bad.
I managed to change my ticket to go back to Texas a few days early so instead of getting there on the 20Th of October I am getting there on the 16Th of October. It didn't cost a dime since I used airline miles to purchase the ticket. So that was good. Once I made the change I started looking at tickets to a concert, Miley Cyrus. I know my little cousin Shae would just love to go. However I was not so lucky on finding two seats together :( Gabe however managed to snag two right near the stage and booked them for me when I was out on my run with Crystal Wednesday night. I came home and he was so excited about it, however they were booked in his name. He didn't think about that part when he booked them and after being on hold for ever that night and the next morning I ended up having to cancel the tickets and get a refund. Due to the fact that the Miley Cyrus Concert's are paperless tickets only you have to show your credit card and ID when entering the event. Since Gabe isn't going to be in Texas with me that just wasn't going to work. I tryed just changing the name on the tickets and they don't do that either. Needless to say that went from good to bad.
We are suppose to be having some people stay with us right now until around the 7Th or 8Th of Oct. and they keep pushing the date back and back on when they are coming which is totally fine by me. (he is in the Army, from Hawaii stationed here and he just got married so why they are waiting to get housing they are going to stay with us.) So that part is good, however I'm being super OCD about keeping the house clean because I can't stand the dogs getting the floor dirty.
Thursday night we had a FRG meeting, I was really looking forward to going because I wanted to get the exact dates for PTA. We have been told all along that it is in November and well Gabe's parents are coming for Thanksgiving and I wanted to make sure he was going to be here when they are here and not having to worry about them missing out on time together. Good news he gets back 3 days before they get here, bad news I get back from Texas on the 7Th of November and he gets back on the 18Th. So that part kinda sucks but its OK. On another note of info. from the FRG meeting we found out that Gabe will be in the field Oct. 14-16 meaning he will be in the field the day I leave for Texas which totally sucks. Now I am wishing I would not of changed my ticket. :( He is going to try and come home that night I leave so he can at least take me to the airport but we will see. My dear sweet friend Crystal is going to keep the pups. over night that one night for us since we totally didn't plan for it. Man she is a life saver. So that is a good thing. We also found out when block leave is for Christmas which doesn't really effect us because we are going to stay here on Island. We are planning on going camping. You would never imagine but it was my idea. I wanted to do something different this year and not just stay at home. Since it is our first Christmas that we will be together in the same place and my first Christmas away from all of my family, I wanted to make is extra special and as well seeing's right now there is a chance that Gabe will be deployed next December.
We planned my trip to Texas around when we thought PTA was and our 2ND year Anniversary so we could be together BUT....Gabe will be at PTA.....possibly, he has been on the schedule to go to a school during the same time frame which is only during the day meaning he will be home at night. Which means WE WILL BE TOGETHER FOR OUR ANNIVERSARY. I'm trying not to get to excited about it yet because I don't wanna get my hopes up and then get let down. We will end up celebrating to the fullest and it will be an amazing time no matter what and when we celebrate. I'm looking forward to that. I already know what I want from my Gabers now I just gotta figure out what he wants or what to get him. (any ideas it will be two years November 9th.)
On not so much of a good note, they are cutting hours at work AGAIN, I normally manage to work 8 hours a day which is awesome. A couple days last week I worked 5 or 6 hour days. Next week I am scheduled to work 6:30am-11:30am every day. I am hoping to get a few extra hours here and there but the more I think about it, its good. I have allot that I need to finish up before I leave so getting off early will give me the chance to do that. I was complaining to Gabe the other night, OK well almost every night this week about wanting to find a new job because I am tired of the hours always changing and going back and forth. But then I stopped myself and started thinking.....well at least I have a JOB. I know so many people right now both here on Island and back on the mainland that are looking for a job and can't seem to find one. So as much as I complain about the situation that I am in, I should be Grateful that I have a job and am getting the hours that I am. Heck, I'm not working past 6pm and not working on the weekends which I refuse to do so it's really not to bad.
Today I came home from work and checked the mail and much to my surprise I had a package from my mommy :) she sent me some Skittles and a giant dill pickle. YUMMY!!! Yes, call me crazy but the two go together wonderfully. You eat out the middle of the pickle and drop the skittles right in and chow down. So so Tasty...."don't knock it till you try it", is what I say.
So my evening run with Crystal is going well. I am really enjoying it allot and feel wonderful after the fact. I am going to try my hardest to keep up with it when I go to Texas, but I know with so much going on and so much to do and people to see, I am sure I will get side tracked a bit.
Speaking of Texas I am so looking forward to going and seeing my family and friends. Doing a bit of shopping and eating. Some catching up and exploring around but I would be lying if I said I hope it goes by slow. There is so much going on here right now and I am going in a million different directions with so much on my mind. I am so just ready to go and get back in the routine of things that we have going on here. BUT I REALLY REALLY CAN'T WAIT TO GO, I MISS EVERYONE SO MUCH AND HAVE NEVER BEEN AWAY FROM MY FAMILY FOR THIS LONG SO IT IS A BIT HARD FOR ME.
To end the lovely fun filled packed week, Gabe has CQ tomorrow. Yeppers. on a Saturday which in my opinion totally SUCKS. He was able to find someone to come fill in for him from 5pm on so it wont be to bad, just like another day at work for him. Its just annoying that it has to be on the weekend.
Oh well another week down, now time to enjoy our weekend and get ready to do the same old song and dance again next week.
