Change in Plans

So we had plans to go with our friends Jason & Rae & there one year old son to Seattle for a long 4th of July weekend. Rae's parents live there so we were going to be meeting them and hanging out for a week. But all that changed this morning.
Yesterday, Gabe got a phone call from his mom telling us that she was going to be having surgery today (Tuesday). It was nothing major but still its a big deal. So this morning when Gabe came home from PT he had said he had been thinking & wanted to talk to me about something. Well me running around the house trying to clean up from breakfast & get dressed for work I wasn't paying attention and kept telling him to hold on. Finally I stopped for a second and he asked me what I thought about changing our plans and going to Phoenix, AZ (were his family is) instead of going Washington. UUUUUUUMMMMMMM, WHY????? I asked him. He explained to me how he wanted to go see his family and thought that it would be better since his mom was having the surgery and all. I though about it for about a split second and said YES!!!!! I jumped on the phone & quickly changed out tickets and the date as well. We were not set to leave Hawaii till Thursday afternoon and now we are leaving Wednesday Afternoon. It works out perfect though because it will give us a whole extra day in The Valley. :)
I'm not the biggest fan of PHX but, it is growing on me more and more. There is so much more there than were we where going to be in Seattle so that is a plus.
We would get to see his whole family which was going to be awesome. AND......his bestest friends Pace & Nichole (whom I LOVE DEARLY SO SO MUCH)live in Mesa which is like a drive across the Valley. OMG, have I been needing me some Nichole time. I have not seen her since we were in the Valley this past November for Gabe's R & R.
The best part is that we are going to be surprising his Mom & family (his dad knows we are coming but that is it), we are also going to be surprising Nichole. I can not wait. Tomorrow is her 28th birthday and well she has no idea we are coming at all. YEAH!!!! I was able to spend her birthday with her last year as well as the 4th of July so I'm super stoked to be able to do the same this year.

Pace knows we are coming now lets just hope he can keep a secret and not tell her.
AAAAHHHHHH, she is just gonna fall out when she see's us I so can not wait.
It is a bit sad that we will not be spending the time with Jason & Rae but thankfully they understand the reason that we decided to change our plans and were totally cool about it.

PHX here we come!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PS: stay tuned for more on our trip and adventure in the dessert, as I like to call it. :)

Tee Time

This morning Gabe & I headed to the driving range to test out his new clubs. I just love watching him golf. He is getting better and better. With his new clubs he can hit the ball straighter and much farther.
Oh its the simple days like today that I love so much here in Hawaii :)

Ink Me :)

I had been wanting to get just one more tattoo on my right foot for a while now. I knew what I wanted in my head, just had to find a picture of what I had in mind (because I can't draw lol).
I was talking to my friend Nicole who was wanting to get another one on her wrist as well. She asked me last weekend if I wanted to go with her and get ours done but I wasn't sold yet on a design. So I did some more googling & finally found a few pictures that I liked and took a couple ideas from each one and came up with what I wanted. IT WAS PERFECT, just what I had in mind.
So yesterday, Saturday night we headed over to the Tat Cave right outside of post and went for it.
I am so happy with the final product, and so glad its over. OMG, it hurt like crazy. I knew it would because well it's on the foot but aaaaahhhhh it was bad.

I am super stoked about one part of it as well.....(in the pictures below) the pink dots and stars will glow under a black light!!! YEPPERS, now who can say their tattoo glows....ummmmmmm, I CAN!!!!

Coach was calling My name to the "TEE"

So since my birthday a few months ago I have been eyeing this one Coach Bag that I just LOVED to pieces. (however at the time I decided to go with a different one because of the price of the coach one I wanted.) Every time we would go to the PX or NEX I would always go and look to see if they still had it there and of course every time they did. How badly I wanted it but didn't wanna pay the $300 some odd dollars for it. But this past weekend that ALL changed. As we headed to the NEX for a look around, Gabe found himself really wanting to get the Golf Clubs he had been looking at. So after hours of walking & talking and looking at all the great stuff they had on sale at the NEX I broke down and bought the purse YEAH!!!! I was so excited, I just adore it.

Gabe ended up getting his Golf Clubs he wanted as well as a traveling case (he is gonna take them with us to Seattle next week) and so much more stuff that you need to have for golfing. We always have tons of fun shopping together and always seem to drag things out forever on deciding if we really wanna get something or not. But I think that is good, we are not out there just randomly buying crazy stuff.

I can't wait for this next weekend to see what adventures we can have with shopping, and then for our trip back to the mainland. OH YES, there will be lots of shopping then.

(here are the pic.s Kari I told you I would post :)

I see the light

So Gabe found is Lazar pointer this morning, and well needless to say he LOVES messing with the puppies. It's so funny to watch them follow the little green light (dot) around the house and try to catch it. Here is a bit of them playing with the light, its to funny. I think I could sit for hours and watch them play and run through the house. :)

blood dose not make you a family

For my dear Sweet Friend.....
...after 4 years & 3 1/2 months of struggling, trying, praying, crying, hoping, wishing that she would be able to make her husband a father, herself a mother. There parents grandparents and so much more.
I see her more and more these past few months not giving up but almost putting the thought of that aside. They are now looking into Adoption and I know that this truly is the last thing that she wanted. I know more than anything in the few short years that I have known them that the path they have walked over the last four years has been the hardest struggle of her life (and her husbands).
I believe she understands that God has already planned out our path we will walk through life but, letting that set in and coming to reality is hard for her.
I can not begin to imagine what she has been through and how she feels deep deep down inside. The girl has some amazing strength to get up out of bed each day and face the world every step she walks.

I just wanted to give her some encouraging words and thoughts of strength to help the both of them go through this next faze of their life. I believe it takes a strong person to be a mommy but a even stronger person to be a mommy to a child that she adopts and I know that one day soon she will be able to do just that.

(keeping you in our thoughts and prayers each and every day)
ps: you know who you are :) love you babe!!!

“Adoption is when a child grew in its mommy’s heart instead of her tummy.”

“Biology is the least of what makes someone a mother.”

“However motherhood comes to you it’s a miracle.

"The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other’s life."

"If a child is raised in a home that is loving and nurturing, where there is complete truth about who we are, you can’t give a child any greater place from which to fly."

"Every baby needs a lap.”

"It is not flesh and blood but the heart
which makes us mother and daughter.

“I didn’t give you the gift of life,
But in my heart I know.
The love I feel is deep and real,
As if it had been so.
For us to have each other
Is like a dream come true.
No, I didn’t give you The gift of life,
Life gave me the gift of you.”

"GoodByes" r not Forever

Today we had to say "Good Bye" to another friend who has gotten out of the Army. BLAH, I hate goodbyes.
Even though I had only met Joey a few months ago, I sure did hear plenty about him when the guys were deployed. Seems like I have known him forever as well as his whole life story. (well, I do now) He has a wonderful son that we are truly going to miss. (however I'm not so sure about the dog's) he loved them so much.
I wish and hope the best for them and their future together as they take this next step in their life. Being a single parent is not going to be easy but he has an amazing support system back home.
We can't wait to get back to the mainland to see them again.
We will miss you both, and are looking forward to you getting your booty to Texas.

Good Times

Oh me oh my, this past weekend was great.
I was really looking forward to it so much as Friday slowly came to a end. On the downer side of things Gabe was off work on Friday & I had to work.
We had a long list of To Do's for Saturday and well Gabe said since he was off he would try to take care of most of it while I was at work so we could enjoy our weekend more. (the past two weekends he has been really really sick & then the 3 weeks prior to that we had 4 extra people staying with us so there was never really any US time.)
So 6:00pm came & I headed home to see what was left to do, (I knew we still had to go to the Commissary to pick up a few things because we always do that together.) But much to my surprise when I got home I found that he had done everything and ever managed to get a nap in as well. OH MY GOODNESS, was I so happy that just meant that we could have more time to US with out having to worry about everything else.
Saturday morning we woke up & had a few little things to do around the house to get ready for dinner, (we were having friends over & I of course wanted the house PERFECT as always). After that we headed down to Waipahu to get my new tires put on my car. I really needed them, but it was a battle I had been fighting for about a month now because I didn't want to spend the money. Gosh they are so expensive.
While waiting for the car to get fixed we had planned to have lunch some were. We ended up at a local place called Zippy's. I had seen them every were before but was alittle nervous about trying it because well, I'm not crazy about some of the local stuff here. Being safe I ordered a Turkey Sandwich, you can't mess up a sandwich. It was rather tasty. :)
After quickly picking up my car & stopping off at a dealership to look at the new Toyota that just came out we then headed home to get our pup's. Last weekend we had planned to walk up Kole Kole Pass with both the dogs. However seeing's that Gabe was so sick that didn't happen. We had taken Dingo once before and he just loved it but since we got Bailey we have not been. I just LOVE going up there, it is the first place that we went together the very first time I came out to Hawaii to visit & to us it just hold so many memories.

We had so much fun walking up with both puppies, it just makes me laugh watching them play and run around together. Watching Bailey try and climb up the steps is the best part because she is still trying to figure everything out. It's great because when ever we go there is hardly no one ever there so we can let them run free & go crazy. IT'S GREAT FOR TWO PUPPIES :)
After getting home we were so tired, I don't think it hit us though until we sat down on the couch. With in minutes we were both out and the dogs to. You could tell they were so warn out.
Later that evening we had Rae & Jason over for dinner & a movie. It was great because we had not seen them in almost 3 weeks now. Little Christian had started walking and was all over the place. It was definitely a great way to end such a busy, yet relaxing day.

Sunday came and it was already booked with stuff we had to do as well. We headed over to Joey's house around 10:00am to finish helping him with his house. Clearing it out, cleaning & getting rid of well.....everything. While the guys made a few trips to the dump Gage & I went back to our place to chill out. We watched a couple movies & had some PB & J for lunch. Later that afternoon Joey went to finish up is TAT. & we headed to the PX for a hair cut. (Gabe not me), the line was oh so so long, so while he waited the lil. man got to play in the play ground area. I swear the kid could live in there if we all let him.
Heading back home I was so excited to see some friends that were in town visiting from Texas.
Mark, Sherie & their daughter Courtney. I have known them for so many year, boy since I was way little. They were able to stop by the house in the middle of there super busy vaca. to say Hello and check out our place. It was great to see a familiar face. It did make me so sad though & made me miss Texas just that much more. We had a great visit & they were on their way to North Shore.

The evening ended w/ more house guest. lol Joey & his son are staying with us until next Wednesday when they leave the Island. He is such a great guy & an even better dad. If only we could do more to help him with what he is going through right now.
I love weekends like this, not only was it relaxing to a point but we got allot done & were able to be together just the two of US. (for the most part)
I'm so excited about next weekend & what its going to bring. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It bit the dust

So my last computer(laptop) Gabe bought me right before we got married on November of 2007. I was so thankful and have used it daily since then. During the deployment I almost never went any were with out my laptop. My laptop along with my cell phone were stuck to my hip. lol.
Over the past couple months since Gabe has been home my computer has been running slower & slower. Allot of times while I'm right in the middle of doing something it will just freeze and well needless to say it frustrates me to no end.
About two months ago I had my laptop sitting on the arm of the couch and well it fell. Which some how broke the part of the power cord that plug's into the computer. Therefor it wouldn't charge, so we went to the PX to get a new power cord. We looked at me a new laptop but I just couldn't bring myself to spend the money on a new one since it was just the cord that was really broke. (even though at the time the one I had was running like crap) So we just settled with the new cord and went about our day.
Yesterday, I was trying to get on line and well my computer was just being a pain in the butt. It wouldn't pull up the Internet for anything. It would load half way and then freeze. I couldn't even save any of my pictures that I was trying to add. After restarting it and shutting it down many times I was DONE.
I told Gabe I wanted a new one. It was running so slow & I couldn't do anything on it that I wanted to.
So he said "OK", just like that. He said let me go up stairs and change and we will go to the PX and get you a new one. So we did, I was alittle hesitant about it at first because once again I didn't want to spend the money. However he had tryed many times in the past couple weeks to fix it and bring it back to normal but it just wasn't working.
The PX had a great deal on a brand spanking New Sliver Sony Laptop. It was just calling my name. I made sure that it had everything I wanted and top on my list was a web cam. I couldn't be happier with my new laptop. I'm so thankful for Gabe he spoils me like crazy. That's because I'm his baby girl!!!!
THANK'S LOVE FOR MY NEW LAPTOP, I LLLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVVVEEEEEE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And on another note, after our visit to the acc this morning. (Gabe had been sick since last Friday & things got worse over the last couple days. but after having blood drawn and 2 IVs he is getting better) We both came home and passed out on the couch.

Little Gage came over around noon to spend the day with us again and so once Gabe got up we headed to Firestone here on post to price out new tires for my car. (seems like I just got new ones last year (well i did) but I need new ones again) After that we headed down to Best Buy & Gabe got a New Laptop as well. He got a Dell and it's one of the smaller versions. (a mini laptop) He got one when he was home on R&R but well that's another story. Any how we are both set with new ones and are having a great day!!!!!!

Round "3" back again

I'm super excited about the new season of Army Wives. The first season came on right after Gabe & I got together and I was hooked from the first episode. It may not be just how life is as a Army Wife, but it sure is addicting to watch.
I am curious to see how they will pick up from the last season and what new changes will have been made. Guess we will have to wait & see.

Oh the joys of grandparents

I miss my MaMaw (my grandma)so much. I think beside Shae she was one of the other people that was really affected by me moving so far away. I love her so much. When ever my mom would go out of town I would always go over to her house & stay the night. (just bc I didn't like being home alone in our big house, as well as I love hanging out with my mamaw) she spoiled me like crazy.

I would always raid her pantry as soon as I got to her house to see what goodies she had. One of my favorites was Asparagus. I could eat it right out of the can it was so yummy. She would always jump @ me because its so expensive. Well the other day when I was talking to her on the phone she had asked me if I had any since we had been out here. I said "only when we went to eat at Red Lobster a month ago." But I hadn't bought any at the commissary because it was like $2.00 a can.
She told me she was getting a box together to send our way & that she would send me some. AWH.....I was so excited I couldn't wait.

So Friday evening before we headed out to a beach party I walked down to check the mail with the dogs like I always do & I'll have you know there it was. MY BOX FROM MY MAMAW. 3 day mail is the best, I rushed back to the house & quickly opened it up and found lots off goodies as well as 3 cans of Asparagus. Of course I opened one up right then and there and ate the whole thing. I know, call me crazy but I just love it so much.

I miss my MaMaW, she is the sweetest person ever. I loved just going over to her house and watching old Western tv with her and falling asleep on the couch or having her cook dinner for me. I can't wait to go back to Texas to see her.
~I LOVE YOU MAMAW AND MISS YOU SO MUCH~

some people......

some people these days I tell you.......

some people are sweet
some are not so sweet at all.

some people annoy the Crap outta you
and others do not.

some say stupid things
some think before they speak at all.

some try to get into your business when they are not invited
and others just mind their own.

some say things that might just make you wanna punch them
and then you have the ones that you wanna hug.

some will be there for a life time
and others for a short period.

some will love you no matter what
and some will cherish you each and every day.

some will stand by your side while you marry your best friend
and some will wish that it was them instead.

some will help you in a time of need
and some will just turn there back like you were never there.

some will hold your hand during a hard time
others will try and fix the problem for you.

some people are just down right rude & ugly
and some people are as pretty & precious.

some people are fake
and others are true to what they say.

some people think they are God's gift to earth
and some people are just trying to make it by each day.

some like to stand on their soap box
and some think that they are on top of the world.

some will never understand why you do the things you do
and some will never ask they will just support you as you go.

some will be there waiting for you when you come home
and others will leave with out even saying good bye.

some people will call you up to go out for the day
and some people will push ignore when they see its your name.

some people think that it is all about them
and some people try to be better than everyone else.

some people will hold you as you cry
and some will give you a shoulder to cry on.

some people will make you laugh
and other will make you angry.

some people you will hold close to your heart
and other you will let go.

some people are just down right hateful
and some people are as kinda as they can be.

some people will pick up the broken parts for you
and some will just leave them laying as they walk by.

some people think that you need to explain yourself to them
and some don't ask question because its what they do.

some people pry into your life
and others just ask questions to get to know you.

some people make you cry
and others put a smile on your face.

some people are bad
and then there are some who are good.

some people are two faced & talk about you behind your back

♥FOREVER TRUE♥

Forever takes me by a minute, each & every day
While I’m here with you Jared.
I’m falling even more in love, with every step we take
and with everything you do.

Hold me in your arms,
Look deep into my brown eyes,
Don’t turn away and let me go,
Don’t ever tell me lies.

I swear I’ll never loose you boo,
In my arms I’ll always hold you close to me.
I’ll never let you slip away from my touch,
And leave nothing left untold.

There aren’t enough hours,
In each passing day for me,
To find all the words,
I wish I could say to show you how much I love you.

Your kiss will last always and forever and thensome,
Your touch forever warm around me.
You’ll guide me to the sunlight and back to you at night,
And shield me from the storm of evil soroundings

This is what I’m saying,
With everything that’s true,
I swear on my life and every thing there is,
That I really do love you Jared.

You are my one and only & no matter what any one says or dose
the love I have for you will never fade away.
You complete the shape of my heart and so much more.

TOGETHER WE WILL ALWAYS BE
ALWAYS & FOREVER & THENSOME
