Easy enough I though, and told her I would be happy to do it. Knowing they lived close to me & I pass their house on my way to and from work & even on my run it worked out perfect. Their little fur baby Major is a 11 year old mutt. (really I just don't know what kind of dog it was)
Today when C came to class his mom had a gift bag that she left on the desk for me as a "Thank You". I'm thinking in my head really it wasn't out of my way or anything to do it. I love dogs and I was glad I was able to help and that they were still able to go on their over night trip.
In the bag she had a few yummy treats (yummy to my pups) for my four legged babies and a toy for them as well. AWH, how sweet is she, we had talked about my dogs before so that is how she knew I had two. I never would of though to do something like that as a "thank you" for anyone. What a neat and creative idea.
Also inside was a homemade Thank You card and a candle, I love love candles. Making my house smell pretty is so relaxing and makes me feel so good.
Simple acts of kindness make the biggest impact on a person's life. I'm so happy to have had this family come in to my life while working at the CDC. I will miss them as they soon embark on their next PCS.
This is what was written on the inside of the card:
"Tiffany,
Kindness ~ comes in many forms but always from the heart. (this was a stamp)
Thank you so much for taking care of our third child on such short notice! You truly were a lifesaver for helping us without hesitation. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. "

Tiffany, that is what it is all about, not only were the people grateful, but you got the best benefit, it made you feel good!
