Kole Kole Pass w/ PuP's

After I got off work, it was such a pretty day out so we decided to take the pups. for a walk. Rather than just around the track we headed for Kole Kole. As they paced the back seat of the truck you could tell they were getting so excited. (we take them to the doggie park on Sundays, so I'm sure they thought that's were we were headed.)
We took Dingo up a few months after we got him and he seemed to enjoy it so we figured they would both have a ball making their way up the trail.
We let Bailey go once we got to the top (w/ her leash still on) and she just ran around silly smelling everything and when we called her she came running as fast as she could right back to us. We did the same with Dingo (after we had Bailey back) and he scampered around like a little jack rabbit it was so cute. When we reach the top (were we like to go) we let both there leashes go and watched them run around crazy checking everything out. We had a wonderful time on our little family walk. :) lol

Kole Kole Pass

After I got home from work today we debated going to the beach for a quick dip in the ocean. The more I stood around and though about it, I didn't wanna change and get all beached up at 4:30 in the afternoon. But It was such a beautiful day out & I didn't want to let it go to waste. That's when the Love of my life came up with a GREAT plan. We loaded up in the truck & headed to Kole Kole Pass. It's one of my favorite places just to go and get away from everything, relax and take in the beautiful island that we live on.

As we made our way up chatting away about the up coming deployment, we were able to get allot out and really figure out what we wanted to do and were we wanted to be when it was over with. Everything always seems to come together when I least expect it to but, I guess that is the best way for things to happen. Now that we have a plan, we just have to get things in place which makes me feel alittle better. Still the worst feeling ever knowing that the love of my world we be striped from me for 12 whole months.

Once we reached the top, we took a moment to just look across the ocean, through the mountains and feel the windy blowing through our skin. At that moment I knew that it was meant to be, I LOVE Hawaii and will never forget our time here together. Over the next few months we are taking in each and every opportunity we can to experience and see everything we have yet to. AND I CAN'T WAIT, I have a "Hawaii Bucket List" that is a mile long, so we better get cracking on it.

I LOVE YOU BABY THIS MUCH,
I----------<3--------------I

HE IS THE LOVE OF MY LIFE & SO MUCH MORE :)

"DANGER DANGER KEEP BACK"

I DON'T KNOW WHAT I WOULD EVER DO WITH OUT HIM, THANK GOODNESS I DON'T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT :)

It's her 1st B~DAY!!!!

HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY MISS MINNIE, I MEAN CHEYENNE.

She had a Mickey & Minnie mouse themed birthday party & it turned out tooooo cute :) The girl loaded up on new clothes and Leap Frog learning activities. As well as her new ride "Ride Buggy" complements of her Uncle Gabe & Auntie Tiff. She was having a ball of a time.
Wasn't crazy abt daddy shoving the cake in her face, but enjoyed it after the fact.

While the guys played a game "corn hole" the girl's chatted it up while keeping a eye on all the little ones. It was definitely a great afternoon hanging out friends, some that we call family.

Waimea Valley Hike

Waimea Valley is a living pu'uhonua (place of peace and safety) for and by kanaka for Hawaii and the world. It is a 1,800 acre valley that offers authentic insights into Hawaiis culture past and present.

We started the day with a walk up the woven paths to the water fall. Taking in all the beautiful flowers & plants that the valley had to offer. It was so peaceful and a great way for the two of us to just talk and enjoy the morning together. We reach the waterfall after a mile & half hike and took in the view for awhile before heading back. Listening to the water rushing off the mountain and the birds chirping through the trees made for a peaceful morning.

As we were walking through there wasn't anyone hardly in sight (which made it even more enjoyable) but be time we reach the entrance the park was packed with tons of tourist.
It was a great morning just the two of us. Now to plan of next adventure hike for next weekend. :)

Mexican Train

We had our friends & Adam over tonight for a game of Mexican Train Domino's. They had never played before and I introduced Gabe to it back in Texas. We got a set of double 15 domino's for a wedding gift and till tonight I still hadn't opened them. I was so excited when I asked Crystal about them coming over and playing and she said YES.
Every Saturday night back in Texas my parents would get together with a few friends and play. I would play most the time if I was home. It was a blast and always made for a late late night with loads of yummy snacks.
So I made sugar cookies & chocolate chip cookies, with a little help from Ashlyn. She is the little girl that I have started babysitting.

Crystal & Adam came over about 7:30pm and I had everything set up and ready to go, I was so EXCITED. We had such a great time, they caught on really well & Gabe well he remember after the first couple rounds. He had Ashlyn helping him cheat alittle. He's such a dork face. All in all it was a great night and for the first time ever I'm winning. We stopped @ double 12 and I only had 20 points!!!!! WAY TO GO ME!!!!!!! (you want to have the lowest score and I do.)

HOOK 'EM HORNS

~TEXAS VS. BAMA 2010 ~

THERE WILL BE NO TIDE'S ROLLING TONIGHT!! GO TEXAS!!!!!!!!

It's a sweet day, I managed to get off work early and made it home just in time to watch the big game.
I was already dressed to impress with my Texas Longhorn shirt on. I quickly put my Texas flag out side to show my support to my home state.

Made a cup of hot coco & got comfy on the couch as the pre~game show was coming on.

I swear every time I hear the Star Spangle Banner I just get the chills.

Off to a start w/ Bama winning the coin toss and then the first touch down going to Texas. Then Colt McCoy injured his right shoulder on the Longhorns' first series of the BCS national title game. Really come on, with Freshman Garrett Gilbert in his place now things are not looking so hot at this time.

Half time came around w/ the score 6 ~ Texas & 24 ~ Bama it was a sad moment. However I loved watching the Halftime show. It reminds me of when I was on the drill team my freshman year of high school.
After the halftime show was over it was official, McCoy was out for the rest of the game. Well if that wasn't short lived I don't know what was. We might as well rolled out the red carpet for Alabama to walk down.
Finally in the 3rd quarter with 1 minute & 31 seconds left on the clock Texas makes a touch down bringing the score to 13 ~ Texas & 24 ~ Bama. Still one quarter left, we can do this. :)
HOOK 'EM HORNS, you can take the girl outta Texas but you can't take Texas outta the girl.
Then just out of no were the Longhorns are BACK......21~ Texas & 24 ~ Bama, we still have a chance with 2:06 left on the clock. MY OH MY!!!
and then OUT OF FREAKIN NO WERE ALABAMA gets a touch down, what tha_________aaaaahhhhh. Within the blink of a eye the score it 21~37 Alabama, OMG. This is a sad sad day :(
Well maybe next year Texas will do it.
I'M STILL A TEXAS FAN AND WILL ALWAYS BE. HOOK 'EM HORNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

One Year Ago

It has been a year today since I said "Goodbye" to Texas and "Aloha" to Hawaii. It was truly a hard day but it seems like just a blur now.
I remember being so excited about moving out here. I was going to be moving into my first house with Gabe. He was coming home from a 15 month deployment in Iraq and we were finally going to be able to have a life together and not be separated by thousands of miles.
I remember having to tell my family and friends goodbye. Something that I knew was going to be hard but didn't realize how hard it would till the time came.

Once I got out to Hawaii I was able to meet up with old friends as well as I made new friends also. It was a sad day and a great day all in one.
Now here I am a year later, loving life in the Aloha State with the most amazing husband by my side.
I have been through so much in the last year and have truly grown up even more. I never imagined that my life would ever turn out this great, but like they says "dreams do come true".
I can't wait to see were life takes the two of us and were we will be a year from now. Oh only time will tell. :)
Love you Baby, I wouldn't be who I am today if it wasn't for you. Thank You for being the Man that you are. I Love you more than words can say.

Back in Business

When was in Texas I was babysitting ALL THE TIME. Ever since I moved out to Hawaii I really haven't at all. Every great once in a blue moon I would watch our friends son for a hour or so but wouldn't make anything out of it (fine by me).
However that all changed yesterday at work. One of the mom's came in and was dropping off her daughter (she was new to our program) and asked if I babysat and I said yes. She got all excited and asked for my info. "SWEET" I though, I could always use a bit of extra cash here and there. She said she would be using me allot and would pay well (that's always a plus).
So she left and the day went on, that afternoon she came back to pick up her little girl and asked if I could babysit tomorrow night (meaning Wednesday) sure I said.
WOW, totally didn't see that one coming at all. I mean her coming right back and asking me to work the next night. I was super excited because when I was in Texas I would make so much money just from babysitting. Ya I work with kids all day during the day so why would I want to do it when I get off. Well I don't mind it, even better when the hubbs and I have something planned she can go with for the most part. (she's 2 1/2)

So the evening well, I showed up at 7pm and L. was out the door shortly after. A & I did some reading and a bit of playing hide & seek, a few episodes of her favorite show Dora, a sippy cup of chocolate milk and a twirl of her magic wand and a few short hours later she was sleeping like a baby in her bing bag curled up next to me in the living room.
L. asked what my weekend plans were and so it looks like I might be watching her again this weekend. I told her that my sweet Gabers was going to be gone to NTC Mid Feb. to Mid April so I was totally open during that whole time as well, so hopefully this will keep me busy then to help the time go by that he is gone.
I am super excited to be back in the babysitting business, as crazy as it sounds I do enjoy it.
It dose help when you have a little ones that is sweet, good and minds well when I'm watching them. I don't do little devil children, lol sorry but no.

6 months

6 months at HMR- I am working the next six months at the HMR CDC in the hourly program. It is nice because I know every day what my schedule is going to be. I will be getting 8 hrs a day, unlike at Peterson some times I was only getting a few every day. I am getting to work with one of my really good friends C. She is super sweet & I'm so excited about it.

6 months left in Hawaii- As of Jan. 1 we only have 6 months left here in Hawaii until Jared PCS date. There is so much that I want to do before we leave the island. I figure with us living here we really aren't going to want to come back for vacation so why not see and do everything now while we can.

6 months till we find out- We have heard word that there is a up-coming deployment for Jared's unit in about 6 months or so. I refuse to believe anything the Army or anyone else for that matter says until I see it on paper. I mean it may be true and all but until we see it in orders we are staying positive.

6 months till a move- If Jared dose deploy I will move back to Texas. I would stay in Hawaii but why when we could save so much money with me moving back. Besides my whole family and all my friends are in TX. I do have a few people here that I am close to but I don't want to stay here by myself.

6 months till we make our "New Annual trip"- I am making it a tradition that we are in the valley (PHX,AZ) for the 4th of July every year. We will head up there the end of June to visit Jared's family as well as celebrate our friend N's birthday with her as I have done for the last two year. :)

6 months left of bugs- Either way if we PCS or Deployment comes along, I am so looking forward to the day I get the heck out of the house we are living in. I can not stand the sight of bugs in our house. Everyone says "That's Hawaii for you". Well you know what this city girl is so not use to the bugs. I clean all the time, I NEVER leave dirty dishes in the sink or food out & open. And yet I always seem to have daddy long legs in our house or those stupid little gecko lizards. Drives me nuts.

6 months till she's 11- OMG, My favorite little cousin will be 11 years old in six months. That is 2 years shy of her becoming a teenager. aaaahhhhh, I can't believe it. She is growing up so fast and into a beautiful young lady. It seems like just a few weeks ago I was at home running around the house with her still in diapers. Wow time flys.

6 months to go- We have so much going on in the next 6 months and so much to look forward to and then again not. I am excited to see what will come and how things will pan out. I know that no matter what we will make it through anything. We are strong and committed to each other and making any and everything work.
(ready or not the next 6 months is gonna come and go, just like the last did and then the 6 after that.)

Ka'iwi Hike

We made our way around the island late morning heading to the Ka'iwi Scenic Shoreline also known as Makapu‘u Point Lighthouse Trail. With a line of cars out the entrance we slowly made our way in, lucky enough to get a parking spot right at the start of the trail.
It was a perfect day for a hike and we took full advantage of it. I believe Hawaii is one of the most beautiful place's I have ever been to and I can't believe we are lucky enough to live here.
I love looking over the mountains into the ocean and across the deep blue sea. I love walking up so high that I see the whole island down below more breath taking than ever.

A little glimpse of our walk up the Ka'iwi Scenic Shoreline.

Looking down across Kaneohe Bay

He is the reason I smile each & every day. :)

Can you believe we live just around the bend.

We were half way to the top, you could see the light house around the corner.

?????Resolutions?????

Every year millions of people make a New Years Resolution. Now weather that be to get healthy, go to the gym, save money, pay off bills, get a new job, clean out their house. The list goes on and on, I am one to say I have made New Years Resolutions before. This year is no different for that. However mine is alittle different, my New Years Resolutions is to spend every minute I can with my husband. Not that I don't do that now, but being in the Army makes it more difficult than a normal family. I cherish every moment we have together and don't take a second of it for granite.
With the possibility of Jared deploying this summer / fall makes it even more hard. I can't imagine spending another year away from him. That's why we are making it a point this year to do more together just the two of us. We love getting together with friends but when the time we have is limited I don't want to miss out on something we could of had.

If Jared dose get deployed this year the big step that we plan to make in our marriage is to buy a house back in Texas :). (I will move back to TX during the deployment)
So for the other part of my New Years Resolution is, I plan on getting our finance's ready. We are set now but there are a few things that still need to be taken care of in order for us to do that. I am super excited about owning our own home, (not so much abt the deployment part) it will be great for our future together.

Many people toss there New Years Resolutions out the window after the first couple months of the year but we have talked about this for the last month and this is something that we are sticking with and are both on the same page.
It makes things so much more easier when you agree and work together and communicate with each other. I think that is one of the big things that makes a marriage work & I am blessed that Jared & I have the relationship and communication that we do.

We are so excited about the New Year and what it has in store for us both together as a couple and then as a individual. Here is to 2010!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~!~

HAU'OLI MAKAHIKI HOU ~ Happy New Year :)

HAU'OLI MAKAHIKI HOU

HAU'OLI MAKAHIKI HOU ~ Happy New Year :)

Goodbye 2009 & HELLO 2010.....great things are in store for the Gabriel Ohana can't wait it's gonna be a AWESOME Year :) LOVE YOU BABY!!!!!!!

We spent the day lounging around the house just hanging out. Around 4:30pm I finally brought myself to get my butt up off the couch and clean. We were having friends over to ring in the New Year with us so I needed to get moving. Finally the floors were done (thanks to my hubby & him using my new steam mop he got me for Christmas) and everything was put away. On to the food prep ....White Choc. Covered Pretzels, Cheese & Meat tray, Cheese Cake Ball dip, Queso & Chips ummmmm good.

We didn't want to have a big party at our house or a bunch of people over seeings everyone we know has kids & they would have to tag along as well. I wanted to be able to enjoy the evening with my love. We invited our friends Rae & Jason over to spend the evening together. Rae brought a few yummy treats, so we were set with plenty of food to keep us going.

We have gotten hooked on the Wii since Christmas so that was the plan for the night. With four controllers in hand we went at it, playing some of the different games we have. Finally it was time for Super Mario Brothers and MAN was it a trip. It was so crazy playing with 4 people. Everyone was running every were and jumping on each other and making each other die (all on the game) it was the funniest thing ever. I can't remember the last time I have had this much fun playing a video game.

11:57pm came across the clock and we quickly turned the TV on to watch the "ball drop". This year was the very first year that I have ever had a New Years Kiss :) & for it to be from the Love of My Life was the best ever. I am so blessed to have been able to bring in the New Year with him this year.
We have been through so much in 2009 & Blessed beyond words, I can't wait to see what 2010 has in store.

It has been a awesome year & it ended with a KISS!!!!! The BEST KISS from My One & Only!!!!
