Our First Full Day

Enjoying our first full day together. Thankfully the hubbs got in so early that we pretty much had an entire day just the two of us. After leaving the Hanger he wanted to stop off at the Company area and see some of his guys and say hello. After a quick visit we headed home and got settled. The pups where beyond thrilled to see their "daddy".
I had breakfast planned for us, knowing he was going to be getting in early enough to eat but since he'd eaten a bit at his last layover he wasn't really hungry. Myself on the other hand, hadn't eaten since 3am that morning. Almost 11am and I was starving. We called his mom and dad to tell them the good news of his return and they where behind thrilled. His mom asked him if I knew he was coming home when he did because I hadn't mentioned anything to them the weekend prior when we where together. He told her yes I did, and that he knew better then to surprise me with a Homecoming because he knows how I like to have everything planned out and just perfect. Yes Yes I do. I would have been devastated if he'd ever pulled something like that.
We decided to venture out and grab some lunch at Noodles and Company, followed by a trip to Verizon to upgrade my phone. Lucky for him he was able to upgrade his as well. That then led to a stop at Best Buy since it was right there, followed by a trip to a couple gun stores and then the local hardware store. Not exactly how we had talked about spending our day but that's ok, he was / is home and we are together so that's really all that matters. After the last store even though it was only 2pm:ish I was exhausted and ready to get home. The lack of sleep from the night before, the early morning and running around for 2-3 hours had finally caught up with me. We headed home to relax for the evening.
Since I'd made dinner ahead of time the day before I simply just had to put it in the oven to cook. Talk about a easy peasy first night at home. We spent the rest of the evening lounging and cuddling on the couch watching a bit of TV before calling it a night at 7:20pm. Yup, you read that right we where in bed well before the sun went down. Over the past week between the both of us we hadn't got much sleep. From his traveling back to the States to my house cleaning and excitement, sleep was not something that came easy.
We are both beyond thrilled and excited that he is home and I couldn't be more blessed that God has safely gotten us through another deployment.
I can't wait to see where life takes us and what our future holds.
As hard as deployments are there is one good thing that comes out of them, they most definitely bring us closer together. I love this man more than words can say and I'm truly grateful to have him as my husband.

Fur Babies

Oh goodness were in the world do I even start?!?!?!? I have a serious love hate relationship with these two fur babies of ours. Some days, Many days I make the comment about how much easier my life would be with out them. But then I'd be awful lonely at home completely by myself. But then at least I wouldn't have to share the bed with them. But then I'd get cold because I wouldn't have Bailey to curl up with. But then my bed would be dog hair free. But then I wouldn't think to wash my sheets as often. I could go back to Cola or any were for that matter with out having to worry about what I was going to do with these darn puppies. I wouldn't have to rush home from work to make sure they could go out. But then I'd come home to a empty house. Of course its not as stressful when there are two of us here at home. But with it just being me right now I feel like I'm at my whits end sometimes. I wouldn't trade them for the world and I wouldn't wish not having them ever. I only wish they weren't as difficult as they can be sometimes. Goodness if puppies stress me out this much I don't know what I'd do with a wee little baby.
So what's brought this post along, I'll tell ya.......
Wednesday night I came home and fed the dogs like I always do. Headed up stairs to change and next thing I hear is them scrappy it out in the kitchen. (That never happens, Bailey will bark snappy at Dingo every now and then when he annoys her but that's it.) I yelled down the stairs for them to knock it off and went on with my evening. I didn't notice till about 45min - 1hr later that Dingo had a bite mark on his nose. I kinda freaked out a little and didn't know what to do. Of course the hubbs had already gone to work for the day so I couldn't talk to him about it. Why does this stuff always happen when he's gone. Seriously!!!! Later that evening I posted on FB about being overwhelmed with the puppies and my Spouse texted checking in to see if I was ok. She's such a doll and totally helped ease my mind. Skip ahead to Saturday night when I noticed Dingo's nose swelling up some and his bite mark was still open and bleeding a bit because he wouldn't leave it alone. This morning while chatting with the hubbs we decided I should take him in to get checked out just to have piece of mind that everything is ok. There's a new vet office that recently opened up and lucky for me they are open on Sunday's. I haven't had a chance to take the pups in the get updated on there Heart Worm and Flea meds since we've been here because of work. So I might as well get everything knocked out while I'm there and take Bailey as well.
OMG, they are a pain in the butt in the car, Dingo mainly because he wants to sit on the console in the center of the car and be right in my face. (oh did I mention I vacuumed and cleaned my car yesterday) Bailey does fine, she wines a bit but eventually lays down. We got all checked in and got their weight taken. We've got a fat girl on our hands, last time we had her weighted she was 85 lbs. Now she's a whopping 100 lbs, I couldn't believe it. Dingo weighed in at 54 lbs, a bit over weight from what the vet said. She wants him to loose about 14 lbs. over the next 6 months. This is going to require me to start measuring their food out and feeding them separately and monitoring their food intake. We've got to some work to do and its going to take a while to get myself and them in a routine but I know it can be done. Prior to today we've always just made sure they have food and they eat when they are hungry. It's worked for us and them, they've never been the type of dogs that scarf down their food if you leave the bowl full. I guess old habits gotta come to a end at some point. I'm determined to make this work because the list of complication's the vet mentioned could come up with Dingo being over weight scared the crap outta me and I don't want that to happen. He's family after all as much as he can annoy me sometimes.
The vet wants to me to start putting meds back in Bailey's eyes for her dry eyes again. We attempted it in SC but she didn't take to well to it and started to get aggressive so we stopped. They've gotten worse in the last year and a half and I know they are painful. So I'm going to give it my best effort and hope for the best. We know she's starting to loose her eye sight because of it but it not completely to the point of her going blind. (she walked right into the back of my car yesterday, I felt bad but will admit I did laugh) The vet mentioned that eventually long term down the road we might have to consider having them removed. I can't even imagine having to put her through that, it bring tears to my eyes just thinking about it. It took all I had to hold them back when the vet was talking to me about it.
After a good 1hr+ at the vets, me talking their ear off asking a million question, a $300 vet bill a bag full of meds for both we were on our way home. Thank goodness for Military Discount I would have hated to see the bill with out it. They really were the nicest Veterinarian clinic I'd ever been to and I'm so grateful to have found them through our friends C & R. Thankfully we don't have to go back for another year, aside from picking up Heart Worm and Flea meds. With the hopes that there are no more altercations between the two puppies.
I do love these two mutt heads and would be lost with out them.

Southern Snow Day Take--2

The weather has been crazy in the South this winter, it will go from super nice out in the low 70's one day and then the next freezing cold. After our last snow day no one really saw another one coming. Not until the weather started predicting it that is. I was hoping praying and wishing it didn't happen. It was the hubbs last Graduation and I took Wednesday and Thursday off work so I could go to both of the Ceremonies on Family & Graduation Day. I was there for his first one when he got awarded and I wanted to be there for the last. Mother Nature had other plans though. Monday night our Battalion Commander made the call that Family day on Wed. was canceled. Bummer, but ok we still have Graduation. I emailed my director to cancel my off day, This way if school did get canceled I'd get paid for the snow day. We pretty much new going into work Tuesday morning that we weren't gonna be there all day. Parents even made comments that they knew they'd probably be getting a call to come pick up there kids soon. We were expecting sleet and freezing rain over the next 2+ days. Why even risk it and bring your kiddos in then, knowing your gonna be picking them up with in hours. Never the less everyone was at school that morning in my class. 9am rolled around, we heard that several of the school districts around us were having a early dismissal. We were just waiting it out to see if our district was gonna call it. What do you know right around 9:50am or so we got word that district one was calling early dismissal. Even being a day school we follow district one, when they close we close. Some parents don't like it but they know how the school works going into it. Everyone had to be picked up by 11:30. I thankfully only had 8 parents to call to come get there kiddos and everyone was gone just after 11:30 in my class. I stuck around making sure I wasn't needed any were else and that all the classes were covered before heading out myself. I wanted to beat the sleet getting home even though it had already started. Thankfully it wasn't to bad at all, not yet at least. Once I got home though it just kept coming down and didn't let up. All through the next day it was just freezing rain / sleet. By the end of the night the streets were frozen over solid. They had officially canceled the Graduation ceremony and were just allowing the PVT's another off post pass for Thursday with their families. Go figure this would happen on our last cycle. The parents were more heart broken than anything though, they came all this way to see a ceremony and it wasn't happening. There wasn't any way to post pone it due to travel and training that started the very next day. It happens, that's life in the army, they will get used to it. It might take them a while but they will figure it out. As hard as it is some times for me to wrap my head around the army does come first.
I spent all of Wednesday and Thursday at home deep cleaning the house and going through things getting ready for our upcoming move. I almost wish we could do our Final Out this week because the house is so clean. Then I wouldn't have to do it again, however we still have about a month or two before that happens.   SouthernSnowDay = Operation PCS Deep Clean!!! In Full Effect. Post was closed both days as well, but duty calls and the hubbs had to go in. Thursday night he had CQ, the roads were semi ok from what I'd heard and I contemplated taking him dinner. I always do, but tonight was different. I just didn't feel safe or comfortable driving and didn't want to take a chance of something happening just over dinner. Thankfully our sweet friends R & C had made dinner and C took some up to the hubbs. What a life saver, seriously they are the sweetest ever. I don't know what I'm gonna do when we have to leave them. Ok Ok let's not talk about that right now.
We all waited patently through Thursday to hear if we were going to be closed another day. District 2 closed, Post school's closed, then a couple hours later District 1 (that would be us) closed but we still hadn't heard if we were for sure following. The board of directors for the school still have to make the final call. Think about it, half our staff have kids in both of those districts, some staff aren't going to come in due to road conditions. Are we really going to have enough teachers to cover all the classrooms??? Chance's are very slim. And its a Friday, just call it one more day and let the roads and weather clear up over the weekend. Finally about 4pm-something I got a picture text from one of my assistants of the email that went out to the parents stating the school was once again closed and following District One. A 1.5 day work week talk about crazy, I still haven't worked a full work week since before Christmas break. Since we've had so much doing on. But I have a feeling that will all change the week after next. :-/ (Monday's a holiday- lol) We have had plans to take a mini road trip / vacay to our future new home state this weekend since the hubbs has a four day and I'm off Monday. Now we can get on the road earlier than we had planned. We want to do some looking around the area to see were we are wanting to live since we are going to be living off post this time around. But that's another story for another post. Late Thursday evening some of us girls got word that the 4 day for the Drill SGT's had been canceled because they were no longer shipping the PVT's out on Friday due to the road conditions. They needed everyone there to cover down. With Monday being a Federal Holiday that left Tuesday for ship day. I was on edge waiting all night he wouldn't know if his was getting taken back as well till Command came in the next morning. I was determined I was going one way or the other, with or with out him. Thankfully he had told his CO and 1st SGT where we were going a few days back just so he didn't get put on the CQ roster. This morning when he came home, he came up stairs to say good morning and let the pups out (because I was being to lazy to do it). The first thing I asked was do you still have your 4 day. Forget the Happy Valentines day, for the get I love you Baby, for get the Good Morning Love. I wanna know are we going or not. Thankfully he is good to go and they didn't take his 4 day. Now I only wish I could say that for everyone else but sadly enough I can not. It does suck because I'm sure many of those families had plans as well. I think the only thing that saved us is they know he's done and off the trail at the end of next month and he won't be here for the next full cycle due to training he is taking.
He's snoozing a bit before we hit the road and I'm of course doing some cleaning and going to run a few errands. I seriously contemplated going for a run this morning because I'm itching to get out there on the streets but I'll save it for when we get back. Fingers crossed the roads are fine and we won't have any issues this afternoon.

Puppy Park on Mother's Day

I may not be a momma to any two legged babies but I a momma to two four legged fur babies. They warm my heart and always seem to make me smile. Sure they annoy the nonsense out of my sometimes but I wouldn't change them for the world. We've been through so much together in the past 4 years. It's just been the 3 of us over the last month and we've had some extra bonding time. We've gone on lots of walks and runs together like we always do when daddy's home. We've spend a lot of time at the Dog Park (I wont take them in the wooded trail area by myself like we do when the hubbs is home) letting them run some of their energy out. I love that we have a dog park on post and its only half a mile from our house. Not only do they get a good walk in up there but then they can run around free and play. We've been pretty lucky here lately and there really hasn't been anyone there. I say luck because Bailey is kinda crazy with dogs she doesn't know when in a confined area.
I couldn't think of a better way to take advantage of this beautiful day then a trip to the puppy park.
Sweet Bailey Girl taking a break in the shade, its only 9am and its already pretty warm out.
They love playing on the ramp, its so fun to watch them run up and down because they get so excited.
(the below left pic. shows B's double ridgeback hair line so well, I love it)
Bailey hasn't quite figured out the tunnel yet but Dingo just jumps right in.
They love the dog park and we had so much fun running around playing this morning. We spent over a hour there. Now I have two pooped puppies and this momma is relaxing for a bit before I go get some fresh local Strawberries. Yum :) We're officially on count down mode till daddy / hubbs comes home and I can't wait.

Happy Mother's Day to all you Momma's & Momma's to be out there!!!!!

Life Lately via the Gram....Instagram.....

Of course I've been staying up with my running, with my fabulous girls K and her sweet little one. With the thought / idea of running my first Full Marathon in late fall I've got to keep those miles adding up. I feel so much better about myself after each run and I seem to impress myself more and more every day. Is so hard to explain the feeling sometimes but I LOVE IT!!!!! I have two set races coming up and then I don't think I'll do any through the hot summer months but hey who knows. Trying to do 13 races in 2013 and of course my 500 miles in 2013 so gotta keep hitting the streets. I have a race this Saturday and I'm hoping the rain holds out till after.

The pups and I have been spending a lot of time at the dog park here lately. I feel guilty when I come home in the evenings from work and they've been stuck inside all day. So up to the park we go, 9 times out of 10 we are able to stay and play for a good bit but when other dogs come we have to bounce out because Bailey isn't so social in a confined area. she's kinda crazy They go nuts on our walk, you'd think it was the first time they have even been out. And it happens like that every single time. It's one of those things, you'd better be ready to step out the door the minute you pull the leashes out of the coat closet because they are going to go NUTS!!!

Friday night I was babysitting K's sweet little one while they went on a date. It was about 8pmish and the hubbs texted me saying he was thinking he was going to come home for the weekend. SAY WHAT.... I know its only been a couple week's since he's been gone but this is the longest we've been apart in almost 2 years since he came home from his last deployment. So to say I was having hubby withdrawals would be a understatement. I had a commitment Saturday night that I could not get out of and I reminded him of that and he didn't mind. When I asked what made him think about coming home he said there really wasn't anything there for him to do over the weekend. Talk about a heart breaking moment. So we agreed that even though we'd only get a day together and a little bit of Sunday morning it was totally worth it. I some how managed to stay away once I got home till  2am when he got home. Saturday we met up with one of my families from school at the bowling alley on post to say a quick Hello and so they could me the hubbs. I love their little guy, he's so stinkin cute and his parents are the best. Little E to right to the hubbs and they were the best of pals, he took E and showed him the "trucks" outside and even offered to share his banana with him. Later that morning we did a little window shopping around town and then headed to Olive Garden for dinner. The weather out was super ugly and a bit chilly even so taking the pups out was a no go. We enjoyed the day together and I was so glad he came home. It was a short visit but nice having him around the house again. lol (you'd think he's been gone for months on end.) Sunday morning before he headed out we went for breakfast (Sunday morning tradition when he's home from work is homemade breakfast ), at least this time with him leaving I wasn't overly sick. GoodByes never get easy no matter how many we go through, no matter were they are going or what they are doing, they just SUCK plain and simple. I can't wait to have my love home again!!!!

This week at work is Teacher Appreciation Day. Our Parents have spoiled us the last two days and its been super nice. They are so sweet and care so much about us. They always do their best to show us how much they care. Yesterday we received flowers, a Target gift card along with homemade blueberry muffins which were fabulous. Today we were given a jar of M&M's with the cutest poem on it about how much we love our kiddo's it was adorable. Our PTO (parent teacher organization) set up a wonderful buffet of snacks for all of the teachers today. There was everything from fresh fruit, muffins, candies and much more. It was a nice treat and we all enjoyed it VERY much. lol. After work I normally go straight home and I've been trying my best not to eat out since the hubbs is gone (gotta save that money) but today I treated myself, its teacher appreciation day after all, right!!!!

With the hubbs gone I haven't really done to much, just hanging out with the pups and being a bit of a home body for the most part. I did have a little get together here at our house last night. I invited a few friends over for dinner and dessert and everyone seemed to have a great time. It was nice and I'm glad we did it, I miss having our weekly dinners like we did in Hawaii when the guys were deployed. I def. think I'm going to try and start doing this most often. Who know's maybe I'll actually meet some more wives in the process.

Home is were the Heart is.....

......Mines in Texas!
Friday involved more eating of course, what ever else do we do in Texas. Lots of Mexican food was consumed during this trip home, which is fine by me because I love it.
JT and I went to lunch with a couple of our friends, Mexican of course. After lunch I had to say a few goodbyes even though I wasn't leaving for another day & a half. Then I went and met up with one of my High School Best Friends who recently had a baby. It was so great to see her. She ended up marrying someone we went to school with who I happened to date my freshman year. Kinda crazy. (of course I've known this well before their wedding.)
That evening I headed back to were my brother stays for a little cook out. We spent the evening and late into the night chatting and simply having a good time. The food was so yummy and of course I got more puppy love in. This was also one of the hardest nights since being home. I had to say my goodbyes to JT. It sucked, there's no other way to put it. I've missed him so much and finally getting to hang out and spend time together has been great. I can't wait for him to come out to the South to spend some time with us. Like most siblings we fought like crazy growing up but now we are the best of friends and I'd do anything for him.
This picture cracks me up!!!!
I've loved being home as I always do and Its so hard to leave and say goodbye, I can't wait to go back again soon. Hopefully the hubbs and I will be able to make a trip together here sooner than later.

Family Day - Texas Style

Wednesday was family day and it involved lots of eating of course. What else do you do on vacay?!?!? Everyone wanted to get together for lunch or dinner. I was so tired of eating out after a while.
JT & I had plans that morning to go visit someone and then after that we met up with our Nene and Dad for lunch at Cheddars. He doesn't think he looks like dad but I really think he does. It was a bit chilly and rainy today but we still had a good visit and I'm glad we were able to get together.
Us with Dad!
Our Beautiful Nene!!!!
That evening we had family dinner at our Mamaw's house. Generally everyone gets together at her house once a week for dinner. Since I was in town I was nominated the one to cook dinner. I didn't mind though, I enjoy cooking and it mint a home cooked meal over eating out. :) JT came over early to help me with everything. I decided to make homemade chicken pot pie, from scratch it takes a bit more work and is kinda time consuming so having two of us working on it helped out a lot.
He's a great cook and we made a good team working together. Everyone really seemed to enjoy it because there wasn't a drop left in the pan.
For dessert I made one of my favorite campfire desserts, S'Mores. I love love S'Mores they are so yummy. I was curious how they'd turn out doing it in the oven but let me tell you they were fabulous!!! Nice, Hot and Gooey just how they're suppose to be.

Meet some of our family!!!!

Little Robert, also know as Jr.
 Uncle Richard!!
 Papa James!!!
 Mom!!!!

JT also brought Callie to dinner with him, so of course I had to take full advantage of her being here and get lots of cuddles and kisses.

She's just so sweet you can't help but love her!!!
Makes me miss my puppies when I'm away.

They Happen in 3's + 1

Ever have one of those week's were you just want to wake up and hope that its all been a dream?????? Yea that was me this past week, it was awful and I never though it would end. It seemed like one thing after another kept going wrong. The bad luck streak was on my side and I still can't figure out why. There was only one more week that stood between me and Spring Break which = going home. I kept thinking I had to make it through another week still. How in the world am I going to make it.
MONDAY-  Work went ok, the night before my phone was starting to act crazy. Long story short it wouldn't hold a charge. After work I couldn't even get it to turn on so I stopped by the Verizon store on my way home. They pretty much told me the charging input was broke, the insurance I pay for every month doesn't cover it, I'm not up for a upgrade till June (which I knew) and so there for I'd have to buy a new phone of find one to borrow. Awesome, I didn't have time to deal with it at the time I had dinner plans. After dinner I was home, had my phone plugged in charging or at least I though it was bc the charging light was on. Hubs and I are watching the season finally of the Biggest Loser when it starts to down poor and next thing you know BOOM!!!!!! And there went our TV, the lightening shot it AGAIN. Yes, again this happened last July - bad storm blow our TV out. (Yes we have it plugged in to a power surge on a inside wall.) Seriously you have got to be freaking kidding me. With that being our only TV in the house we called it a early night and went to bed.
TUESDAY-  I was dealing with car issues. Back up about two week's, every so often I've been having to stop and put air in my tire. Ok like every other day almost and it was beginning to be a pain in the butt. On my lunch break Tuesday I decided to take it in to get looked at. While waiting I called our insurance company about the TV, we have a $200 deductible. Ok its not the price of a new TV so it could be worse but still. Come to find out there was a hole in my tire that went all the way through. Meaning it wasn't fixable, well not by a patch or plug any how. But by buying a Brand New Tired. UGH!!!!! Not sure If you remember but I have a 2011 Dodge Challenger with 20in (they are factory, not something I added) wheels. The guy working on my car gave me some prices on two tire bands that would fit my car. The Cheapest one total out the door, install w/ tax was $217.00 the other price which was the Firestone brand I have on there now was $242.00 install w/ tax out the door. YIKES!!!! I've got to talk this over with my husband first I told the guy. Can you at least put the old tire back on there for now. "No Mama, sorry I can not its not safe"ya, that's what I figured. Donut / spare it was. Talk about a heart breaking moment. My baby was looking a little ruff.
After work I checked out a few more  places for tire prices and the cheapest price I found total was $212.00 at Walmart outside Post Gate. I absolutely HATE HATE HATE that Walmart, I almost refuse to go there by myself I hate it that much. Its seriously GHETTO!!!!!! I figure well as long as I just have to drive around to the side go in through the automotive section I should be ok. So I sucked it up and went up there to order the tire bc of course its not something they have in stock. Anther day with the donut.
WEDNESDAY- On my lunch break again I was headed out to try and figure out this TV issue. I decided to take it back to the same place we had it repaired at last year since they did a good job, quick turn around time and frankly I didn't have the energy to search for some were else. After I got lost trying to find the place, (coming from a different direction than before) almost in tears because I was on a time schedule, no phone (what did people do before cell phones, Tues. I had so much on my mind with the car I didn't even have time to figure out a new phone) or GPS I finally found the place. Paid my $50 deposit, left them the Hub's number since I didn't have a phone and was told we should hear from them the next day. A stop a the Verizon store down the street (a different one this time) was next. I went in explained my issue and the lady so kindly started helping me. She played around with the phone trying to get it to turn on or charge even after I told her it wouldn't. She pulled up our account and said "well it looks like we are going to have to order you another phone since this one isn't working. REALLY SCORE!!!! "But the lady at the other store on Monday said it wasn't covered under the warranty or insurance" I said. She replied with "well your paying for it so it should, let me check with my manager just to make sure" CRAP, Tiffany you should have just kept your mouth shut. She came back didn't say anything, verified my address and number again and confirmed that a new phone would be sent out. HELLO HAPPY DANCE!!!! Me: (trying not to sound pushy) "how long will that take?" Verizon Lady: "you should have it tomorrow afternoon" Continue Happy dance!!!! Me: "Will I need to sign for it?"Verizon Lady: "yes you will bc its coming FedEx" Awesome, no one is going to be home because we work. :( now what. Me: "can I just have it sent here to the store and come pick it up on my lunch or after work tomorrow". Verizon Lady: "Yes"
So she does whatever it is she needs to do to continue the exchange and I head back to work. After work I go home let the pups out for a bit and then had back out to Walmart to get my tire fixed. I was half way off post when I remembered I never put the tire and wheel back in my car. (we had to take it out to get the TV in there) I was just glad I wasn't already off post. I double checked with the guy fixing my car if my tire could be fix and he confirmed it wasn't. Bummer, ok whatever its gotta get done.
Thursday- Before I left work I called the Verizon store to see if my phone was in, this would save me a trip after work it if was and a trip down there on my lunch only to find out it wasn't there. The Customer Service rep checked and it wasn't bummer, ok I'll just go after work. I get home and what do you know there is a FedEx sticker on my door. AAAHHHH I was so mad, really how did that get mixed up. It was suppose to go to the store not my house, whatever I'm trying not to complain or get to upset since I'm getting it at no cost. I grab something to eat, let the pups run around while I look up directions to the FedEx store. This way after work I can go there to pick it up. I leave and head over to my friend Sarah's house who lives down the street so I can borrow her phone. We looked the number up bc it wasn't on the sticker only to find out that location is closed on Thursday's. NICE!!!! I called the 1-800 number and the lady told me the package had to be delivered, that the sender didn't want it picked up from a FedEx location. Seriously you have got to be kidding me. She put the request in to have it redelivered and I signed the skip and went back to stick it on my door. I came home after work and nothing. Well hopefully tomorrow I'll have it. This whole, no TV no Cell phone thing is really no fun.
FRIDAY- I rushed home on my lunch because I had to take the pups to the vet so Bailey could get her eye's rechecked. When I pulled up the FedEx guy was at my house leave the package. YAY!!!!! I have a phone again. We found out last week she has dry eyes and her eye's aren't producing tear's any more. Which is causing her eye's to drain really bad and its pretty ugly. Also there was a ulcer on her right eye so we were having to do meds. We've been having to put artificial drops in her eye's, like people use as well as meds. Doing all 3 two times a day. Let me tell you this pups has got some STRONG eye lids because she sure can clamp them down shut when we try to put in the meds. I was really hoping for some good news at her check up. We've notice a little less draining with the meds but its still there. I'm sure if we were 100% consistent with putting in the drops and meds it would be even better but it seriously takes two people to do it because she is so strong. The Vet did a tear test and she is producing 5 tears a minute which is better than before were she didn't even make it to 5. But normal pups produce about 60-80 tears a minute so we still have a long long way to go. Good news it the ulcer is gone and we can stop with those meds. It just breaks my heart for my baby girl to be in pain. It's so sad because I wish there was more I could do. I rushed them home and headed back to work, I was going to be late and didn't think to tell the office what I was doing before I left in case I was late and I couldn't call because I didn't have a phone. Yay, I had my new one but I had to go get it activated after work. Before I left the house I FBed a co-worker who was on lunch at the same time as me and asked her to tell them what was going on. In hopes she would get it before she got back herself. 10 minutes late I showed up, thankfully she got my message and was able to let them know. Even though it was only 10 minutes and they understood what was going on I still felt awful for being late. All's I could think about was I only had 2 1/2 more hours and then I'd be home free for the weekend. Even though the hubs had to work all weekend and we had no TV I didn't care. I was going to be completely lazy and enjoy it. I didn't even feel like cooking dinner, it was just one of those days. Really it was one of those weeks if you couldn't tell.
I'm really hoping next week is a better week, I only have to work 3 1/2 days and then I'm on VACAY till April 8th. As much as I'm going to miss my hubs I can not wait to go home!!!!!

Pre-Race Week Instagram Style

My Sweet Girl, enjoying the sun during my afternoon lunch break. She loves loves being outside and would stay out there all day if she could.
We didn't have plans to run Monday because we just finished our long run the day before. However it was just to pretty outside not to go for a run around post. It was the first time I've ran on post in a good long while. It felt great to get out and go for a run around post but def. not as pretty as the area I've been running it.
Tuesday the rain held out and we were able to get our run in, last run till Saturday. Its crazy that its right around the corner. What am I going to do when it's over?!?!? I'm already itching to sign up for my next race.
I've been trying to drink lots and lots more H20 this week in preparation for Saturday. I finally reached 100% on my HydrationCoach water bottle. 70% in one day.
Working on my fitness, squeezing in one last work out Wednesday night. Strength class at Jamie Scott Fitness, def. my favorite class by far!!!!
You can never have to many workout / running pants, shorts or shirts. I scored these two pairs of pants at TJ Max Thursday afternoon during a quick shopping trip on my lunch. They are both super soft, comfy and best part I got both pairs for $14.99 each originally $109.99 each. I love TJ Max!!!!!
Friday I took the afternoon off from work to relax and prep for Saturday morning. Kelly and I met up to head to the Health and Fitness expo that was being held down town. This was included during packet-pick-up. Followed by a Pre-Race lunch at Jason's Deli, I love me a big 'ol salad, yummy!!!!!!
I work with some of the sweetest ladies ever!!! My afternoon Co-worker Alicia gave me a Good Luck card along with this beautiful bracelet before I left work on Friday. How sweet is she, totally love working with her!!!!
I had a special delivery to work from on of my parents / kiddos. A wine themed running gift basket filled with lots of goodies. It was totally unexpected and I love it. I have some of the best parents in my class ever. I'm so blessed to work at such a wonderful school. I love this family so much and both of their little ones!!!! I will definitely miss working at EDS when we move next summer.
Race bid and Shirt: CHECK!!!! Tomorrow's the big day. Hubbs and I are headed to bed early tonight because I've got a early morning. The shirts are actually really nice and not over sized which is always nice.
I promise after My Half Marathon post from tomorrow you wont have to hear (read) me talk about it again. Well that is until I sign up for another one, which I'm already itching to do. Although that may not be till the fall because the weather is fixing to get really hot here soon.
